Hate to break it to you but in 2025 every SEC opponent is going to land a top 20 class/transfer class & you will go @ SC, @ Tenn, @ Bama.

Not a big deal though since you get Ole Miss, a loaded Auburn, a peaking Texas and Mizzou at home. Looks like Michigan as well.

It’ll never get easier, everyone gets injuries here and everyone has enough depth to still be a SOB to play late in the year. This is the best conference for a reason. Welcome to the new normal.

Again, show me prior to this year any SEC team playing at least 6 top 25 ranked “conference” teams.

No one can but they are dickriding the success of the top teams who win titles. It never happened. I have always claimed the SEC was hardest conference but posters exaggerate as if they always played 6 ranked conf teams lol. We sucked this year on offense and not only played one of this years hardest SEC schedules - we did it with most of our O starters hurt. No team would have survived that circumstance.

Still waiting for all these receipts on ranked teams played on conf.

Aren't there like 10 scholarship receivers per team? Every single one of them was injured all season?

In 2018, State played Bama-2, LSU-6, Florida-7, Kentucky-12, A&M-16, and Auburn-31. Add in Iowa-25 for good measure.

Oklahoma's and Florida's schedules are also why judging tough games only by "Top 25 opponents" is short sided in the SEC.

While neither Oklahoma nor Florida are great, a good argument could be made that if they had simply played 3 more games against teams #45, #50, #55 instead of #15, #25, #35 they could easily be 8-4 and #25 themselves.

It's why I like the performance based systems (like the NCAA basketball tourney uses) more than the Polls to compare schedule strength.

Both Oklahoma and Florida are in that #25-35 range in almost all performance based metrics.

Playing 4 to 6 top 30 teams is completely normal in the SEC.

Half of the top 30 programs are in the SEC.

It's tough man.

I thought Oklahoma really did show their SEC spirit by upsetting Bama at home late in the year. Yall are going to fit in nicely but expect just wars with good teams nearly every week.

No rest for the weary.

Dude, you have come to the sec rant unprepared like your team. Grow some thick skin and get over it. While iam in noway a horns fan, they spent the last two years preparing to come to the SEC.

Oklahoma came in on day one without a offensive line. You can't win in this league without great line play on both sides of the ball. And my beloved LSU tigers might fall into this problem next year. It depends on transfers and how will the younger plays developed.

And don't waste your time on presenting facts and all that shite. I've been on this board for almost ten years. I just post my opinions and don't give a damn if someones else is different. But this is a bad look for you. I have respected the way the Sooner fans for the most part have been on here. When you make statements like you do, it sounds like a kid having a tantrum. So good luck.

We could have had Army’s schedule and we still have a loss or two. 100% loss to ND. Just enjoy one last game and look forward to September. I bet we keep most of our team and we’ll be much healthier.

Moving the posts I see.

I stated facts and thats all it was, facts. Not one poster can provide any evidence of having played 6 top 25 SEC teams in 1 season.

Its a very simple observation. It does not take away from how hard the SEC was in the past. But SEC added 2 blue bloods and on top of that NIL has changed the landscape. Some of the “up” teams have been down for a while and have not been good the past 10 years.

A few teams like tx caught the short bus and an easy schedule but thats an outlier. Goikg forward there will be more good teams on a yearly basis.

A team in the past that had some issues might skate by with a 5-3 or 4-4 conf record in a down year. Now that turns into 2-6 or so because NIL will make it easier to buy players that can tilt the teams.

OU is just the first example of whats to come for all teams. You lose just enough players and can’t skate by any longer. And its gonna take a few years for everyone to fully see it - once their team goes through it then they will.

Unless they create divisions its going to be a bloodbath every year. But in past years SEC was not as deep as it is now. And thats my point. Even if both schools had not started in SEC this year - this was going go be the deepest SEC conf ever. All due to NIL.

Miss ST was the only bad team this year who was an automatic win There were alot of good teams who could beat anyone and a few mediocre ones as well. Tx and Georgia were the best two but even they would struggle at times

Works both ways. We will have a real OC. And will never have so many injuries to most O starters. We’ll have a more experienced QB no matter if its JA or someone from portal. Our freshman Oline got so many game reps too. And all teams except Bama loaded up the box which meant too many men attacking to block. Imagine having actual WRs to throw to meaning less pressure for Oline. Its all interconnected.

This was the worst it can get. And if our O can score then our D will play even better. Keep in mind this was our DC year 1.

Enjoy it now.
