If OU is worried about a QB who couldn't win their starting job they might be in trouble next year.

OU and WVU play every year...

Then why did people bitch when Alabama blocked transfers within the conference and get a rule put in place to allow it wholesale?

I don't get you're point. What are you trying to say?

SEC has a rule that you can't block but Big 12 doesn't.

Pretty fricked up after getting Baker from Texas Tech

1. Oklahoma never pursued Baker Mayfield. He simply showed up on campus.

2. Was Baker going to teach Lincoln Riley all about how Tech's offense works?

Just remember also the whole Baker Mayfield saga. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Doesn't matter who the coach is. They still got a player from a conference rival while OU is blocking one from going to one. It's a chicken shite move. If it was a reversed situation OU would be crying to the Big 12 then a change of the rules would rule in favor for OU.

You’re not wrong. It’s a bad look.

They got a walk-on who showed up unannounced that they didn't pursue from an offense our HC was schooled in by Mike Leach himself. It's not even close to the same situation.

The kid has been sitting on your bench for 2 years and you pursue a transfer QB then tell him he can't go anywhere he wants. You spit in the kid's face twice.

Typical hypocritical sooner crap ... it would be interesting to see what the new WVU coach could do with Riley's reject. But Riley is afraid of the possible repercussions if Kendall succeeds at WVU

Pretty soon this kind of thing will no longer be allowed by NCAA

You're hilarious.

Austin has been here for 3 years, knows the offense inside and out, and should be able to easily win the job next year over a Redshirt Soph as a result so why would he transfer? I mean......the job is wide open right?

Austin is transferring because he can't beat out the Redshirt Soph that is already here.

Even sitting out a year he could go over what he knows from the playbook during the year he sits out.

WVU's O-line coach left immediately to OU and he knew their playbook. Who knows the playbook better a coach or a player.

Your argument is flawed. OU is chicken shite. The rest of the college football world is tearing into them over it because it's a bush league move.

Word around here in OKC is his family is upset with how Stoops and Riley threw him under the bus for the "Ohio St runs a basic defense" comments his freshman year.

We don't give a shite what "the rest of the college football world" thinks, quite frankly.

"The rest of the college football world" assured us that Baker Mayfield sucked, was an off-field problem child, was the next Johnny Manziel 2.0, and would never play in the NFL.

"The rest of the college football world" assured us that our offense would decline after Baker left for the draft.

"The rest of the college football world" assured us that Bob's sudden retirement was suspicious and likely came in advance of some impending NCAA trouble.

"The rest of the college football world" assured us that Kyler was a divisive, toxic kid who was too small to play QB.

"The rest of the college football world" assured us that Riley was too young and inexperienced, and would most likely not succeed.

"The rest of the college football world" can orally ingest a bag of dicks.

The jury is still out on Riley. The 2018 team was worse than the 2017. And the 2019 team is looking to be worse than the 2018 team. We'll see pretty soon if he is actually a good coach, or if he fell into two all world QBs which propped him up.

Really? He's done at this point what Larry Coker did in his first two years (without actually sniffing a NC). I'm just saying it's a little early to crown him. Let's see what happens over the next 2-3 years.

You're right. He's Larry Coker. What was I thinking?

I think Riley is a damn good coach. And he just hired a solid DC with a good reputation.

Recruiting at a high level.

Not sure why anyone would think he's some sort of 2 hit wonder.

Baker was a walk on and Kliff Kingsbury blocked his transfer so Baker Mayfield had to miss his sophomore season. He was a walk on. He later regained that season back. I think OU is just trying to prove a point within the Big 12 conference. Lincoln is not wrong doing what he’s doing. Personally, I think they should allow him to transfer and play next season since he graduated.

I didn't say he was. He's obviously done really well so far. Let's just see what happens.
