That was the same line we heard from Oklahoma State last year...

Did someone say Oregon has a defense? Really?

Is an aggie fan really talking about others having a defense? REALLY?

Oregon would turn you out and make you their bitch. Yes, they have a defense.

If LaTech did that to you guys, Oregon would do it ten times worse.

I think not. They had their chance against a pretty mediocre Auburn defense and they saw what it was like playing against a good SEC defense vs LSU. Still, they probably have the best team outside of the SEC.

The Ducks don't have a great defense but the Auburn and LSU games proved it was more than adequate to keep the game close.

The LSU game got away from them because of turnovers. If the Ducks minimize turnovers, they can hang with any school in the country.

I wouldn't bet against them this year. I think Bama and Oregon is the game most people want to see.

But personally, I'm pulling for a big upset in the Civil War to restore order to the universe.

That mediocre Auburn defense you speak of was enough to beat 9 SEC schools.

Give the Ducks a little credit for a hard fought close game. Not like anybody in the SEC gave Auburn a better game that year.

I can't see Oregon winning two games against USC.

If it ends up being Bama and Notre Dame, the country may as well prepare their anuses for the media, and they might as well get a 55 gallon drum to put in front of Granny Holtz because he'll be slobbering, literally, everywhere.

Just barely. Auburn won because they had the best QB /player in college football at the time and a damn fine OL. Their defense gave up a butt load of points that season; they won many of those games only because they were able to out score opponents with Cam at the helm. Remove Newton from the equation and the team collapses like a house of cards.

You're an IDIOT and should be banned until this claim happens.

Oregon has played:

Arkansas State
Fresno State
Tennessee Tech
Arizona
Washington State
Washington
Arizona State

Who the frick is impressive on this list? Lowly Mizzou beat ASU (the "best" team on that list) with their back up QB, yet hasn't even sniffed an SEC win, dude. Oregon, is the same shitty scheme that both Auburn and LSU dismantled defensively.

Act like you know what you're talking about.

Not to mention, UGA owning Auburn before Cam put his team on his back and carried them to the W.

Oregon shut down Cam just as good if not better than any other sec team.

Granted, and they still lost. Thanks. After having over a month to prepare for one person.

I might agree that Alabama would beat Oregon, but no way they hold them to 17 points or less.

No. The thread was about how Oregon will end the SEC's streak. I disagree that Oregon will even get there, let alone break the streak if they do. It's October.

The difference this year for Oregon is that they have bigger guys in the trenches than previously. This was their biggest downfall in both the Auburn and LSU games. They simply were out physicaled on the line in those games. This year, they are bigger and are better suited to compete than in previous years.
