That sound you hear is the loose Aggie sphincter’s tightening

Honestly, as much as it would be a head wind in recruiting, I wouldn’t be pissed if OU joined the conference. Those libtards in Austin can sleep in the bed they made. 4 teams left that conference and Texas’ arrogance was the reason.
Everyone who says A&M wasn’t relevant in the Big 12 and won’t be relevant if Texas and OU join the SEC doesn’t understand the dynamics of why A&M was awful in the 2000’s and how much things have changed. Our facilities were way behind, we hired bad coaches, and Brazos county was half the size it is today.
A lot of good things have happened in College Station, and the SEC has played a significant role in that.

How in the hell would you simply fold the

Ketchum is a dipshit but he's not the only one. ALL the Texas sources are saying the same thing
The problem is those sources only look inward. They assume that not only does everyone want Texas but that Tech, Baylor, TCU, A&M, and OSU will just sit back and let it happen. Do you have any comprehension of the politics of a move like that?
This is why OB and idiots like Ketchum and Brown are constantly wrong. They assume the world revolves around the 40 Acres and everyone else's life ambition is to kiss your feet and do your bidding because "We're Texas".

Fatass Ketchum is almost as reliable as Saddam's press spokesman.

Interesting Note: The Texas Legislature is currently shutdown due to political issues. Therefore, this particular issue can’t be squashed right now. It is the first time since 2003 that this “window” has been opened for Texas.
OKlahoma State is an entirely different issue and could be a big wildcard though..

SEC Alternative Channel 2 ?
So Texas would still have its own network, unlike
any other SEC school, taking over the
Alternative SEC channel---won't fly.

Why? Just rename the Longhorn network the Vol network. Would be just as irrelevant and coloring wouldn't have to change

Hmm, that actually is pretty interesting, and something I hadn’t considered in all this.

The only thing that’s a done deal is that Texas and OU are leaving the big 12. Where they will end up is far from a done deal I would assume

I don't believe the rest of the SEC would allow the Longhorn Network to exist, if this SEC/Texas "marriage" ever took place.
That network caused a lot of strife in the big 12 amongst Texas' brethren.
The SEC over the years has had the media and other conferences have a negative attitude regarding the SEC. It is not nearly as prevalent now as it was say 50-60 years ago. I am not sure about getting in bed with a bunch like Texas. Oklahoma is a different story. If you have ever been around both fanbases you know what I am talking about.

Texas knows they aren't bringing that pile of junk into the SEC. Hell, no one will watch it in the Big 12.

It might be worth it just to watch Texas swagger into Birmingham, just to be told to sit down and shut up.
(Still don't want those arrogant, cancerous MFers in the conference.)
