Just drop them in the grease. Let’s start this next year and not give them 4 to use the SEC as a recruiting pitch.
I’m just curious if all these tigers are going to keep slobbing on Texas’ nob like it’s a corn dog, or if they’ll come to their senses. I don’t want to be business partners with Texas again, but have full faith that we’ll own them on the field. Tigers seem to forget we’ve won 2 out of the past 3 against them. A bad horn program isn’t scary.

I have to remind myself outside of Arkansas fans and probably Mizzou nobody here realizes how fricking toxic the OU sidewalk fanbase is
There’s a difference between an annoying fan base (OU) and a toxic fan base (TU). One talks a lot of shite from the front porch of their trailer. The other tries to stab you in the back at family dinner. I’ll take OU, which is a much better football team, all day long. Let the horns twist in the wind. If we were scared of on the field competition, the opinion would be the opposite. We don’t need those dildo waving douche bags in the SEC.

A&M isn’t going anywhere. We’re going to b*tch about dealing with those clowns in Austin off the field, but we aren’t worried about them on the field. OU I’m completely fine with. I like them not being in the conference for recruiting purposes, but I get where college football is headed.

No your not it’s just two more teams in the SEC you’ll lose to every year
We haven’t been world beaters, but we haven’t been the doormat you portray either, especially since we canned rumlin.

Jacksonville?
Obviously.
It’s a great stadium, great weather, awesome small vacation spot and it’s for sure more SEC than Dallas
Try Nashville…
If the rest of the conference agrees not to bend the knee to the horns, I’m not irate about it. The disdain for Texas keep any boosters who might have otherwise sat on their wallet with NIL from doing so. It will also make for an epic conference schedule, especially if we move to the pods. I’d rather it not happen for recruiting purposes, but it would feel good to beat those clowns in football.

LOL @ GT getting invited back to the conference...

there is no good reason why the SEC should want OU and Texas.
Umm there's about $140 million reason a year why the SEC wants this... Plus Texas and Oklahoma are leaving the Big 12. If they instead go to the B1G the SEC is playing catch-up with tv money again.
I’ve seen this $10M a year number thrown around this board quite a bit. Can someone explain to me how Texas and OU equate to $160M in increased revenue?

People don't like UT or the LHN, but the facilities, talent, and infrastructure would all then be "assets" that would now be part of the SECN. Them "merging" into the SECN is nothing but a plus, just because of what it does to the ability to do more simultaneous productions.
Hard assets like a studio and infrastructure can be sold for a profit… just saying. As far as their on air talent, they haven’t produced compelling enough content to break even much less be profitable, so why retain them for the SEC Network?

You are completely delusional if you think that this deal won’t make every team more money.. about $10 million more by my calculations.. I can show my work if you like.
Texas is the potential partner in the firm that generates big sales numbers, but also might get you sued because they lie to their clients to do so. Is the upside worth the organizational cancer you’re taking on?

quote:Mizzou knows what it’s like to be parters with the assclowns in Austin. They’re a solid no. I wouldn’t be surprised if they bolt to the Big 10 if Texas joins the SEC, and the Big 10 would have them.
The only solid no vote is Aggie

The consensus is that we’re moving towards four 16 team conferences. I think the schools you’re referring to (especially UF, USC, UGA) might bet that they can screw us on this one, increase the conference revenue per school, and lock out their in state rivals permanently.
“I get that Aggy vote. But I really don’t understand the Missouri one.. They would 100% have left for the Big 10 if ever offered, maybe even still today“
Because the university of Texas is a bad business partner. The lack of self awareness among horn fans is pretty incredible. Mizzou was as much running from the horns attempt to bully the conference as they were running to the SEC. Texas created the house of cards they live in, and will attempt to operate the same way in the SEC.
I get folks from traditional SEC schools dismissing our perspective on Texas, but I think it’s telling that most Mizzou fans are as insistent that Texas doesn’t join as we are. I’d prefer we add two other teams, but if we have to add one of the two, for the love of the SEC, take OU and not Texas.

Honestly, as much as it would be a head wind in recruiting, I wouldn’t be pissed if OU joined the conference. Those libtards in Austin can sleep in the bed they made. 4 teams left that conference and Texas’ arrogance was the reason.
Everyone who says A&M wasn’t relevant in the Big 12 and won’t be relevant if Texas and OU join the SEC doesn’t understand the dynamics of why A&M was awful in the 2000’s and how much things have changed. Our facilities were way behind, we hired bad coaches, and Brazos county was half the size it is today.
A lot of good things have happened in College Station, and the SEC has played a significant role in that.
