I want to agree with you but the pressure on Golding because their fans want that game soooo bad, I have to say its Golding.

Yeah, LSU fans don't really care about that game, Kiffin has no pressure on him at all

LSU fans have argued non-stop that LSU is a far superior football program compared to Ole Miss. LSU fans have argued non-stop that Kiffin is a far superior coach compared to Golding. LSU made Kiffin the third highest paid college football coach in the history of college football. LSU’s AD has publicly stated that the expectation is that Kiffin take LSU to the playoffs every season.

Going into the Ole Miss/LSU game the pressure will be exponentially higher on Kiffin.

If LSU starts off 2-2 a lot of LSU fans will go on the warpath.

Eh, Kalen DeBoer lost 4 games in his first season to inferior programs/coaches and managed to be fine. And he took over a final 4 playoff team. Heck, many of you said he did a good job.

Lane is inheriting a team that went 7-6.

The one in Death Valley next year will feel existential to either if they lose.

I think it’s pretty much on both. The media feeding frenzy leading up to the game really hasn’t even started yet. Whoever loses is going to catch a lot of shite.

Probably Kiffin.

1. The money
2. The attitude
3. The transfers

LSU has more expectations in general for their program, an influx of talent through the portal, and bragging about said influx. Failing to capitalize on these things would not look particularly good.

Anyone paying attention knows Golding is taking over a mess.

Do you factor in how much the fans want Ole Miss to win that game into adding any pressure on Golding?

Not even close. Kiffin.

he's the big bad man, now. expectations will be very high for him. he's used that energy and recruited well and all that, so they should still be somewhat realistic.

ole miss fans, however, do not have the same level of expectations.

How much pressure can a guy with guaranteed $90,000,000 and a guy with $30,000,000 really have? Dear goodness, please let me experience that kind of pressure.

When you turn on Kiffin it is going to be magical to watch.

It's gotta be Golding, his team's hosting this game, the atmosphere will be a madhouse, this upcoming Ole Miss team is perceived as really talented and return Chambliss at QB - his HC hire was a last-minute salvage job because they entered the coaching search so late, he will be measured up against the man he replaced at HC and people doubted Golding's abilities as coach dating to his days as Alabama's DC

Golding is taking over a program that was one win from playing for a natty last year. Chambliss will for sure be on Heisman watchlists, Lacy probably will be as well.

They brought in nearly just as much talent through the portal as LSU did.

I would categorize LSU as more of a mess right now, than Ole Miss. Unless you just believe Golding will be an epic failure.

Golding stil has to prove he can be a HC much less keep the winning going at a SEC doormat.

Kiffin just has to prove he can win similarly with more 5* recruits.

Is this a real question.

Kalen Dubose has lost 4 games TWICE at Alabama, a crazy number for someone all the talking heads in Birmingham consider a top coach in the country - especially considering how high the standard is for Alabama football by their own doing

Man, Alabama people are so delusional, they have to convince themselves that DeBoer's an elite coach despite the fact they couldn't run the ball last year and got stomped by Georgia and Indiana in big games

Sure; considering how much LSU fans have been looking down at Ole Miss during this whole experience, I imagine the inverse is also true.

Man, I am really hopeful that this is just an internet thing on our side. This whole back and forth is beyond ridiculous and we haven't even played a game yet. Ignorance is bliss for now.
