Ole Miss is a nobody. LSU fans have spent the last 6 months telling us that. LSU has all the pressure

Umm..very easily Kiffin..with the amount of money LSU has put in they expect results(as they should)..from Chips buyout to Lanes contract to the money put into the roster..it is very, very easily Lane..which is why you try to coach at a high end job...most coaches love pressure it is born in them to be competitive.

I have nightmares thinking about Florida-State (2018) when we are leading 6-3 in the second half and drop a wide open TD pass. Would have put us up 13-3 and with our defense no way Florida would have come back.
But alas the whole game flipped and UF won 13-6.

I hope the same thing does not happen to Ole Miss. Lots of pressure and expectations on that team from their fan base. Factor in the emotion of the game and they may play too hard and emotional and end up losing the game.

I am a State alum/fan but I want Ole Miss to win that game and I hope Lane falls flat on his face in Red Stick.

Who is everyone? I don’t think Ole Miss fans expect the program to decline under Golding?

I wouldn't say "decline" but the Ole Miss fans I've talked to expect at least an interim dip until he gets his feet settled and used to the role of being the HC.

On 9/19 Golding has more pressure. A loss to LSU doesn’t ruin the season necessarily, but it puts an extremely sour taste in our mouths just because we want that game more than any other on the regular season schedule. The media response the next day could be 1000 different things depending on what happens. Hopefully we don’t act like TN fans and we beat them by 40 and he cowers back to locker room without shaking hands…being the bitch we know he is.

If the rebels lose, they will just say “we won the party.” If lsu loses, rebels will say “see in Golding we trust”.

Well they sure as hell aren't the ones posting on the SEC Rant.. Because all the ones here claim Golding is the sole reason Ole Miss made it to the playoffs..

I’ve got Ole Miss beating LSU this year for their Super Bowl. They will then lose to Florida the following week and you may see a downward spiral.

Ive only seen where Golding is getting credit for the play off wins. Won by same margin vs Tulane as regular season and won against UGA where Kiff lost. No sole reason OM made the playoffs but some key performances by QB, RB, and WRs is what delivered.

Hopefully Golding doesnt sit an NFL running back on the bench in favor of running a 5th string converted WR…

You left out Drinkwitz. He will be one that will be pressured to get back to winning 10 or more games this coming season. LSU made the right choices to get Kiffin and he will not be needed to win 10 or more games this season.

I wouldn't encompass an entire fan base by responses on a message board. There are literally thousands upon thousands of fans with opinions that never post or even visit a message board. It may be more accurate to say Ole Miss fans on the rant believe that, but not the entire fanbase.
