It appears he's quite the loss. Always feel bad for these kids.

How’d he get hurt?

Hopefully it’s minor

At the risk of sounding repetitive, I hope he has a strong and speedy recovery.

Rounding first and fell immediately... no contact and held knee as soon as he hit the ground

Really wasn't even rounding first, bad throw to first and he stepped to the right around the 1st baseman diving for the ball...then collapsed on the knee and looked like in major pain

Terrible luck. It could’ve been prevented however, being up 12 runs and getting two players back from injury today in Baker and LaFluer who have both played 1st base this year. You would think they would’ve wanted to get them some action against a vastly inferior opponent and let Elko rest a day or at least have him pulled after it was out of hand.

Sucks that he's hurt and I hope he can come back obviously. But our season isnt over if we lose him. If it is then we weren't very good to begin with.

Riley Self who is a senior tore his ucl. His playing career is likely over. He will likely stay with the team and become the 1st base coach since he has coaching inspirations.

Either way should hold him out for at least a week. Don’t want to rush him back out there.

It's awful. There was no fricking reason why he should have been in up 12-4 in the 4th against North Alabama.

OM has a good team this season. One player isn't going to hurt them much. Someone else will step up.

Agreed. If you lose your Ace for the season it’s different but one bat isn’t the difference between an omaha team. Team better step up and be more focused than ever before.

Big hit if he’s out for any length of time. The offense is inconsistent as it is and he was second in the league in HR and first in RBI. Also one of only three righty hitters in the lineup. A good corner defender too. Graham won’t see many good pitches without his protection in there.
