It’s wrong because like every decision regarding football it’s poorly planned and amazingly even more poorly executed

It sucks because you want to be proud of your alma mater. No matter how rough your seasons go you still support them (for the most part) and try to defend your school. But when the administration seems like it's making every effort to make your school the laughing stock of the league it just gets downright embarrassing.

I suspect quite a few folks from various schools know what you are talking about. We all might be ride or die with our schools but it would be nice to do more a little bit more riding and a lot less dying.

I highly doubt those people have been through the horse hockey Ole Piss fans have been through for two decades. We had a basketball game get rained out and that wasn’t even a decade ago.

Ole Miss HAS to get a competent Chancellor, and quickly. Things won't improve until there is solid leadership from the top

They’re looking to put a guy in there that plays politics. PCU is coming for the teddy bears

The difference between our schools is us knowing who we are and y’all knowing who you THINK you are. It’s really as simple as that.

Your administration or who ever is making these decisions needs to take a tour of other SEC facilities. Are they old and still living back in the 50s or just cheap. I feel for y’all. Sounds like change is long over due

There is an interim Chancellor, interim AD, and a Make a Wish Foundation recipient as HC.

It’s simply more competent leadership. There’s nothing that can replace that which state has had and we have been sorely lacking. That other stuff you posted you can see if our newbie rebs will bite on.

There is a power vacuum at the very top, and programs are suffering below. The next chancellor is a huge decision that OM needs to get right

They have no idea who is running the school anymore. You have two separate factions in Oxford. The university who is leaderless and the athletics department who is run by the Forward Rebels boosters. They know the university is leaderless so they try to push them around too. The top dogs in FR are the people who have built all the condos and hotels in Oxford and who are now scared shitless that they are about to lose huge amounts of money.

This keeps getting better the more I look at it Even with the tents, look at how the only shade provided is for outside the stadium The bleachers are still getting torched

It's Mississippi so all of that applies.

Probably the drunker you get, the nicer these things look. That's probably what Ole Miss is counting on.

If they would let the students get plastered attendance might bounce back some. Heck get crazy and allow the flags and colonel reb back since we’re a laughingstock and considered racist anyway might as well get weird while we can

But you run your competent leadership off when they don’t prescribe to your booster organization’s demands. Poor Vitter was a hostage of Forward Rebels. He couldn’t do anything without their consent.
