If you bring the flags and colonel reb back then recruiting and attendance will stay the same or go down. You do know a LARGE portion of the student body is liberal right? They will bitch too much about a stupid mascot

Most of the fan base at ole miss is conservative. But if you look at the student body most are glad to see Civil War statues moved, Mascots and state flags taken away, and dixie not played any more. shite the teachers up there preach nothing but liberal viewpoints.

Nope it’s a distinction without a difference. Some are libs sure but there’s not a large portion of them yet. Didn’t we just have a thread about om students posing with guns at the medgar evars sign?

I showed my wife these pictures and even though her sister is an Ole Miss grad, she said " That looks like that Smiley's flea market you drug me to years ago". "Put a couple of cement tables stating "rent me all day for $5" and you couldn't tell the difference".
I really like my SIL and she even admits that Ole Miss is on a downtrend. Spent a week with her at St. Simons and she didn't want to talk about it.

Yeah I mean if they’re going to drop the ball this bad on the project, at the very least they could’ve made them red and blue with the Ole Miss logo on them. They look like those cheap white tents you rent for an outdoor function. It looks like they cover about 7 bleachers

I think you are missing my point. DMagic said that they should bring everything back since everything is a dumpster fire anyways. I am arguing that bringing the old ole miss back would do nothing but hurt the school.

They have to find something that relates to Rebel’s. That’s been the thorn they can’t get rid of. A bear and shark aren’t working.

the only fix I see for ole miss right now is hiring a chancellor and AD from within the school that cares about the school, its fans, and the state of mississippi. Maybe even a big name former athlete or student. John Cohen once was a former baseball player at Mississippi state and now he is our athletic director. Ole Miss needs leadership that is Ole Miss. Not some out of state person that only knows about ole miss because they played his school one time.

Obviously it was a joke. That ole miss has been dead since the early 00s. The harm to the school now is being done at the top and there’s nothing in my estimation to bring us back to any relevance soon. Plus even with how much has changed we’re still labeled the racist school and I doubt that will ever not be the case.
