Veazey just put up an article on the CA, it's a paid article, but lets just say that ARCHIE MANNING IS OUT OF CONTROL.

There is nothing in this article that documents what the NCAA will do.

Sounds like a lack of institutional control and every instance I have heard of when a team cheated and played an ineligible player they had to forfeit all games the player participated in.

This is what happens when you outsource the compliance work to a private firm in order to circumvent freedom of information act requests.

I don't see how they can help if no one notified them that his scores were being looked into.

A 10-12 jump in an ACT score is automatic review and flag.

That's nice. Did you miss the part where the NCAA cleared him.... then later looked into his scores without notifying the university? Why can't frickers read

But if I were an Ole Miss fan, I'd be worried about shite like this slipping through the cracks. Seems like the compliance dept doesn't have the attention to detail they should.

I'm super duper worried, how will I ever sleep again knowing some random walk on cheated on his ACT.

I'd like to hear how other teams prevent problems like this. After the NCAA declares a player eligible, do y'all just have a GA call up the NCAA once a week to ask if everybody is still eligible? Or do y'all just ask whether the NCAA is reviewing the ACT scores of any of the incoming freshmen? It's both, isn't it?

More BCS games than us?

More final fours?

More trips to Omaha?

But still so much better than Arkansas...

Just know, two years is a blip...not a trend. As farfar as the last 25 years go, we're virtually the same. Post season success in baseball and basketball to us. Bowl wins in football for y'all. And don't even start the hillbilly crap because more than half of your state lives in utter poverty. We're both bottom of the barrel. I'm just man enough to admit it.

Here is the hypocrisy of the NCAA on full display again. They are making exceptions to the rule because he only played in one game. Okay good they should be punished that one game or the NCAA should give Memphis their Final Four back.

The skill level of the player shouldn't matter if they make the rule, they should be enforced evenly.

Besides what coach in their right mind would not play Derrick Rose after he has been cleared by the NCAA?

Memphis got absolutely screwed and Ole Miss isn't even getting a slap on the wrist.

Reason is we bitch slap the NCAA anytime they try to screw us over. See Masoli decision reversal in 2010.

Even HS rule enforcement is more equitable than this.

Are we being told that it isn't the schools responsibility to make sure that only eligible players paricipate?
