Reason is we bitch slap the NCAA anytime they try to screw us over. See Masoli decision reversal in 2010.

And I feel like the Derrick Rose thing might have turned out differently if he went to Duke

Other than Clowney and Manziel, I can't think of a player who impressed me more last season.

That walkon made us quit. Just his presence on the coverage team destroyed our heart. Davis may be the best cover man I have ever seen. He's like the Derrick Rose of kickoff coverage.

Ole Miss is lucky this guy will get to play some this year. It will take pressure off Robert Nmgeechbuyavowel when Davis gets back.

This guy gets it. I'm glad someone had the balls to point out how pivotal Carlton Banks was to our success last season. I mean, he was basically Derrick Rose for us. And, the BBVA Compass Bowl is basically the Final Four.

Really, though, SchTaye fans need to STFU about us only getting a "wrist slap" because y'all got off even lighter than we did. Face it, the NCAA was giving out retardedly harsh penalties for as long as we can remember. The MSU and Oregon penalties are about what they should be. They punish the offenders and not the players.

In the case of Davis, he and his mother were in the wrong, so they receive the punishment, not the athletic program that did everything required to make sure he was eligible and then the NCAA decided to take back his eligibility without informing anyone.

That is what they should do.

Didn't this player jump 10-12 points on ACT? If so, the University of Ole Miss must be the Harvard of the South. Most folks couldn't get that big of a jump by staying in a Holiday Inn Express the night before the ACT.

Derrick Rose had someone else take the SAT for him. The NCAA tried to contact Rose about it twice. He ignored them both times.

One thing that a lot of people are missing is the fact that his ACT score was flagged after the season was already over. So during the actual season itself he was eligible. Then in April the ACT people flagged and cancelled his score.

You can get in with a 16 but you're on academic probation
