And of course, buried in any public HS or college curriculum, or blatantly ignored, is the fact the KKK was founded by members of the Democrat party, most notably Nathan Bedford Forrest, the first Grand Wizard and a slave trader out of Memphis whose net worth in 1870 was $1.5 million which is equivalent to over $61 million today. Jim Crow had its roots in the Democrat party.
But my money is on Bolden voting a straight Democrat ticket, if he bothers to vote at all.

I went to an inner city mostly black high school as a white kid. The nearby country schools were definitively more racist. Shoot I caught shade just for going to the “wrong school” for a white kid. Yeah sometimes we made race jokes at my school amongst all the races but I never was actually victim to any anti white racism. It really isn’t all that common contrary to what right wing news says. And shoot when it happens, it’s mostly white people being racist against white people lol

The Democratic Party is clearly not the same Democratic Party of 1870. Party ideology and values shift and change from election to election, much less centuries. And I say that as someone who leans Republican

They're also the "Rebels." Really can't get much more in your face embracing the confederacy than that, among other things including but not limited to wearing confederate grey uniforms not that long ago (who the frick thought that was a good idea). They also had a student put a noose on the James Meredith statute.
I believe also that Colonel Reb was still the mascot when Bolden got to Ole Miss. They also most definitely played Dixie and "slow dixie" while Bolden was there, accompanied by students yelling "and the south will rise again"
So from his personal experience, yeah I can see why he may feel that way

Nonetheless, he chose to go to school there. It's not like it was some secret he should have been shocked to see once there.

Oh but it is. In many respects it's even worse. Who asked, and I'm paraphrasing, "If migrants aren't allowed to come to this country, who will clean your toilets?"? Who stated, again paraphrasing, "They want us (blacks) back picking cotton. We gotta allow migrants to pick cotton, strawberries, lettuce, etc.".
Of course NOBODY picks cotton other than John Deere. But the answers are Barack Hussein Obama and Jasmine Crockett, both Democrats and both AA.

Probably offended by the Colonel.

But don’t let that distract you from the fact that LSU’s mascot comes from the name of a confederate regiment
Do you have a problem with that?

No the colonel was not the mascot when he got to ole miss we got rid of him in 03 five years beforehand. He also had only one year of from Dixie with love because we banned it halfway through his second year.

You may want to sit this out, considering one of those dipshits was wearing a Mississippi State hat before he put the pillowcase over his head.

The weird thing about zoomers and Gen alpha, who make up all of the college kids, that pearl clutching boomers and millennials will never understand is that the most racist people in those generations are also the least racist.
Like, they'll say the most wild crap online and then their friend group is filled with black people and Muslims and Hispanics and whatever. And they are all horribly racist to each other and think it's hilarious.
And then they genuinely hate actual cringe racists like the klan.

It is never enough.

It’s ok though, we’re neutralizing it by giving you a bunch of gender options

I think Ole Miss should get credit for all they have done to tamp down a sensitive issue...
And I understand this "we bent over backwards... and" sentiment.
From a purely sociological perspective... What you suggest would be interesting simply because with NIL... would Black people take the money and tolerate all that old confederate stuff again... or would the top players and recruits take Ole Miss off their radar like they did in the '70s and early '80s.
