Spot on, that advantage of having your weekend rotation setup and rested only lasts 2 games. If you drop one, your looking at your #3 vs somebody’s ace game 1

He just threw 110 pitches. He is definitely not pitching multiple innings on less than 5 days rest. He will not be a factor in the championship series

I kinda hate that we can’t somehow get both teams with a healthy full rotation for championship series. I get how hard it would be to make it happen. But it sucks.

I happen to agree with you. I don’t think it is enough rest for that arm. He might could pull off a few good in Innings Monday but not much. I’ve seen a Friday/Monday tried by Bianco before. Arm turned to jello after 4 innings. Delucia will have one more day than that. He might be good for 4. If he goes more than that I would be surprised. Last nights loss hurt.

Do you? MLB pitchers do it yearly on 4 days. He will be just fine if he needs to go on Monday

110 pitches is a lot to come back from. 1 inning in a crucial situation on Monday would be reasonable. Anything more than that would be completely irresponsible by Bianco and foolish of Delucia if he values a future pitching career.

Sorry bro no one is a lock to beat OU right now the lowest amount of runs scored is 5 for OU.. not to mention we have three top draft picks striking out 10 batters a game right now

If we get to game 3, I would hate to be the person trying to keep DeLucia out of the game.
Drew Pomeranz pitched a complete game school record 16 K performance in a regional final one time of 2 days rest. These dudes are competitors and it is hard to tell them no when the season is on the line, especially in a National championship game

Last year Bednar threw 97 pitches in the semi final on Saturday and threw 90 pitches in game 3 of the championship on Wednesday.
Rocker threw 111 pitches in the semi final on Friday and 92 pitches in game 3 of the championship on Wednesday.

He won’t throw 110 pitches on Monday, but he should be good in some capacity.
