Not very concerning honestly

I’m really looking forward to LSU fans discovering how obvious it is when Lane is calling plays and when CWJ is calling plays. It’s that obvious and they will be calling for his head next offseason

Crazy that you actually researched ECU games lol…..I haven’t even done that.

Nah.. LSU fans are very aware of the pros/cons of what we are getting. It’s ok for us to acknowledge the difference it will be having a coach at his level
Which is something you are about to learn the hard way, along with the difference between OM with an elite level coach, and without

DB knows our system since he was our co-OC for 3 seasons ('21-'23), so he brings about a bit of continuity and knowledge of our system. Good hire for us.
Co-anything title equals I'm going to give you a title to be a position coach

I'm not thrilled about losing CWJ, but his situational play-calling really lacked sometimes. We couldn't find a way to convert short-yardage downs last season and had to to revert to using our 290lb defensive tackle to push the pile.
He's a good OC and has helped us win a lot of games. He's also young and hasn't been a good short-yardage or redzone play caller at all.
Well he should have it a bit easier in the redzone here in Baton Rouge. We have this manchild named Trey'dez Green. 6'7 240lbs beast to just throw it up too. Something that the previous offensive staff REFUSED to do.

More than fair. We did throw to TEs a good bit under Weis, so I'd imagine Green will get used a lot in short-yardage situations

The Kiffin/CWJ offense thrived in open yardage when they could spread out the defense but struggled in short yardage situations.

LSU fans are so fricking soft. They can’t stand someone talking about anything other than sucking off LSU.

Just saying ole Miss will win a natty next year because of them.

ECU ran up the score on some bad teams, but the offense mostly struggled against all of its decent opponents. Points scored: NC State - 17 BYU - 13 Tulane - 19
Sounds a lot like our offense the last few seasons. Hopefully he’ll bring some consistency at least so we don’t have the 2-3 games a year of scoring 20 against subpar SEC squads like Kentucky last season.

A 3rd and 2 may as well have been a 3rd and 15.

Kiffin/Weis' offense scored 35 points, on the road at Georgia, in Ole Miss' only loss.

Last year we scored 20 points, at home against Kentucky.
Like I said…..hopefully Baker will help bring us a bit more consistency so we don’t completely shite the bed in games like that. While dissecting the Ole Miss schedule….did you also notice that Washington State took us to the final whistle while at home? We scored 24 points. At home. Against WSU.

HE specifically said against subpar SEC squads. Georiga is far from subpar. That would be more like the LSU game where we only put up 24. That was a subpar offensive performance against a subpar SEC opponent.

So why do they need CWJ?
Posted on 12/9/25 at 12:39 pm to SEC Doctor
He took the 4th worst offense in college football and turned it into a top 15 offense.
Go look up how many points the lane train put up against P4 teams at FAU.
Navy 19 (not even p5)
Wisconsin 14
OU 14
Ohio State 21 (year 3)
