More times than not, when the first two go the way they have, for some weird reason, game 3 is the hardest to get the win

Well coached teams don’t roll over

You also said Collins took the spot from Swann.. Which is incorrect

Swann came expecting to be the backup too, but Collins took it from him before he decided to transfer.

Wrong — Swann came in behind Nuss. Which is probably what led to Collins hitting the portal

I think it does tell us a lot on Hurley.. I think him enrolling early was a huge mistake.. He is still 17 years old. If Van Buren takes that #2 spot, that is a very steep hill for Hurley to climb to leap frog Van Buren the next season. I agree they had to bring in a qb regardless, but there’s also a reason they brought in the guy they did

Nobody is arguing that.. I was speaking more from Van Buren’s perspective. He didn’t come to LSU with someone telling him he may be the #3 guy after being the starter somewhere else as a freshman lol

Exactly so why did you read so much into what I said? Lol.. I said time will tell, which it will!

I also said it seems to be indicative on how the staff feels about Hurley. Of course you have to bring in a qb since Collins left and we lost BU. But they didn’t go after Van Buren just to “add depth”,

Again. No shite..

With the portal and if Van Buren is the #2 next year, chances are Hurley may never be the starter at LSU.

Nothing is set in stone and things can happen.. But all I said is that it seems like Hurley isn’t ready and the coaches may not think he will be a year from now.

No shite.. All I said is that it seems to indicate some doubt with how the staff feels about Hurley being ready to be the #2 next season.. Which you pretty much just agreed with lol

That had nothing do with Hurley and more about how good Underwood is.. Kind of an apples to oranges comparison. Nobody on this board was talking about Hurley ever playing over Underwood, were they??

From the coaches perspective, yes.. If you are a kid like Van Buren who just started an entire season, you aren’t transferring to COMPETE for the back up spot unless someone has made you feel like it’s yours

Does this mean Hurley's out the door? How's that to play out?

Time will tell.. Seems to be indicative of how the staff feels about Hurley

Buddy they scored one TD on offense.. Who cares about the 167 yards they had rushing when they barely had 100 yards passing.. That’s not getting smoked

Long time fan here. No chicken shite. Just can assess really really well.

Oop — You were saying? Chicken shite haaa
I agree with you.. Don’t nitpick my words ha
quote:

No OC is going to call plays the QB isn’t comfortable with. Nuss seems afraid to run right now.

Or it’s possible he never runs bc they never practice it? We all know he’s not a typical dual threat, so running doesn’t come natural. Add that in with never working it, and that’s how it looks.

Wouldn't be the first one he sat out

And if he didn’t, this would have been Nuss’s last year
What kills me is that I don’t know why Sloan hasn’t incorporated some QB run options in the playbook for certain situations.. Nuss is not terribly slow and with teams keying on the RBs, you would think they would show it just to keep the defense honest. It would 100% work in short yardage and goal line plays

The lack of creativity and lack of balls that the playcalling has is maddening

I’ll believe it when I see it.. It seems that when we play teams like this, they always have the game of their lives against us and we are trying to figure out what the hell is going on
