You are correct. It’s national championship(s). The same ceiling as every other college football program.
Seems like a mighty high ceiling if it’s never been done before….
Not happening anytime soon

Can't wait to check back next year when Ole Miss suffers the portal withdrawal like FSU is this year.
6-6 for a decade incoming!

That’s funny. Kinda like how we overturned the roster last year and went 11-2? There’s always a chance we fall back to the 8-9 win range next year, but one of those wins will be kicking y’all’s arse again in oxford. Have a good fall!

Florida would kill for 6-6 at this point.

We have won 10 games 2 of the last 3 years.
Total of 2 10 win seasons in program history.

We are ranked in the top 5, if our roster was purple and yellow y’all would be claiming it was the best team ever.
LOL except the team that wears Purple and Gold actually win things. We'd never hand a banner for Co-Division champs.

You obviously don't realize the number of players Florida puts out. He would kill it there. and I'm no Gator fan.
That's just not how it works anymore.

I live around a bunch of OM people and are related to a some who are entitle AF. You can't comment on my experience with OM fans in my life. Not all of them are like that. but most are.
and it fades when they have the 2-10 seasons but it always comes back when they start winning. like they've won multiple Nattys.

He would be a fool in taking that job.

So they realize when their team is good and when it is not? What’s the entitlement that has your titties in a twist?

Then why aren’t coaches, who were successful at other programs, winning at Florida? Something else is a problem at Florida.
...and who were these successful coaches

Mullen was absolutely successful when considering the context of the program he came from and what he did there.

Only 17 players got drafted this year from Florida, Florida State, Miami and Central Florida.
Georgia had just as many players drafted in one year.

...and before he quit on the UF job he made it to the SECCG and had that 3 NYE bowl streak he likes to brag about.
Did he ever do that MSU?

Did you bother to actually read my post at all or did you just want a reason to post something you already planned to post to begin with?

Ole Myth has a ceiling and Kiffin knows it. He'd be a fool to turn UF down and he won't if offered.
I don't know... Florida's biggest years come when both Miami and FSU are down (or at least, at best, slightly above average). FSU is a dumpster fire right now, but Miami isn't. Is it really the best time to jump in as the Florida HC?

It really punches a massive hole in some people's argument that the state of florida produces excellent talent if only one school can be successful at a time.

If the Florida schools could build a fence around the state and not allow the competition to get any players then yes the Florida schools would still be elite.

It's almost like people forget that airports and interstates exist. Long gone are the days of "I stayed with the in-state school so my mom could come watch the game".
