I think Miami is more talented but Indiana looks like one of the best coached teams I’ve seen in a long time.

If Chambliss plays like he did in sugar Bowl, nobody beats Ole Miss

As a conference we got away from being really sound across the board and started relying on talent. Well now other conferences can buy talent too. Time to work on the basics.

One of the more insightful things I’ve read on this board.

With all the resources SEC teams have, money is generally not one of them. Sure, A&M and Texas have plenty (and almost nothing to show for it), and there are a couple of others that are not paupers, but I’d bet the finances of most SEC schools and alums don’t compare well with the B1G.

National champion odds

Indiana +128
Oregon +315
Miami +320
Ole Miss +580

I'd probably have:
Miami
Indiana
Ole Miss
Oregon

Like I said, there's a reason why NFL scouts love Miami

But overall, I think its wide open...favorites don't always win.

Indiana isn't a sure bet against Oregon.

Miami's had the easiest playoff schedule so far. Ole Miss will easily beat them.

Yeah Miami's defense is absolutely legit. Top 3 in the country, and certainly the best remaining in the playoffs.

No doubt. Cignetti is the best in the game right now.

no one other than Indiana is the favorite to win....certainly not Miami.

Miami win over osu was a good win, but I like OM over Miami all day long.

I agree, Ole Miss has a chance

It's wide open...its just not going to be easy, probably another dogfight like the Georgia game

Indiana is going to be a problem for anyone left in the playoffs. The scary thing is Cignetti knows this.

I was marveling at the intensity of the Indiana team all the way through the final whistle.

The run game was getting stronger and stronger as the game went on and Bama receivers were being absolutely detonated by Indiana dbs on junk time final drives. The pash rush was intense all game long. here was no let up at all.

Should be fun to watch the Oregon rematch.

Dismiss the B1G schedule if you want, but they completely dismantled Bama.

Dude, anyone with a brain could see what needed to be done and how it was going to snowball. Alabama’s OL is the worst combination of 4* & 5* performance I have ever seen. They have horrible technique and do not communicate. They can neither run block or pass block. You take a highly disciplined approach with a veteran laden team, it is the biggest recipe for disaster on a national stage! In reality we all just watched a prison rape on ESPN!

and just two years ago they were the worst program in P4

whenever you hear coaches talking about “changing the culture” this is what they mean

idk...I think Miami is now the favorite to win it all I think most people are predicting Indiana vs. Miami in the Natty. But I think Ole Miss and Oregon have fighting chances and anything could happen. That's what makes this final four so compelling

There is no way Carson Beck is getting through 4 playoff games without making a fatal error.

For all the legitimate talk about Miami’s D, this is indeed a huge factor.

It’s like I said about our OC. Built a good system with a shitload of talent, but tended to self-destruct with bonehead play calls in critical situations. Almost cost us 3 games that should have been locked up (Auburn, SoCar, Arky).

Once he got his next gig, the whole games were critical situations.

One idiot returning to form can singehandedly wipe out the work of 60 other people.
