On one hand, its good for Freeze. Pitino got a slap on the wrist.

One the other, Pitino wasn't aware of the actions of one assistant. Freeze is going to get punished based on the actions of multiple assistants.

I imagine each additional coach increases the penalties exponentially. Its much easier to accept that one rogue coach was doing something behind your back, than multiple coaches.

Plus, there's the whole cooperation thing that the NCAA values so much.....

the one assistant got a 10 year show cause.... Freeze knew and was actively breaking the rules and knowingly doing so... he has challenged the NCAA as well... i wouldn't be surprised if they gave him a 20 year show cause. Do something egregious like this as an attorney like bribing a judge and you are disbarred for life... they have quite a few alumni that know this first hand. They have no moral compass... makes sense that they don't want to follow the rules... they are rebels.

Pitino had one assistant on his staff charged with wrongdoing, right? Freeze has/had damn near half a dozen and shite was going on DURING the damn investigation right under Hugh's nose? That's a huge difference in the head coaches culpability IMO.

Your boy Leo Lewis is going to get both schools on probation before this is over with. If Leo lied and it looks like they have proof he did, he will be done.

5 ACC basketball games is the equivalent of 1 non conf football game
Freeze will probably be suspended for one or two non conf games

The NCAA is done with their investigation. Why would they turn the tables and target MSU now?

There are going to be a lot of disappointed State fans. Though I've shared what I've heard about penalties, I personally think the NCAA accepts one year ban, adds 5 schollies to what OM has self imposed, vacates a bunch of wins, and Freeze gets suspended a few games.

State fans will go nuts...say we should all cheat...go into depression.

Pitino and Louisville probably worked with the NCAA. Freeze is a girls basketball coach made into a football coach that didn't work with the NCAA.

It's amazing how obsessed MSU fans are with this case, yet none of them have read a lick of it.

I would tend to agree with you if it were not for the new penalty matrix. I'm not sure there is room for the COI to just accept OMs self imposed penalties.

If this is what state fans are hoping for I can't wait for the COI to release our punishments. They are all going to be so mad.

Please tell us more about how coaches literally providing hookers to recruits is equal to what ole miss did.

Coach freeze wasn't under any threat of LOIC until LL started talking and we know his testimony is super reliable. You think the NCAA is going to punish Freeze more based on that vs coaches admitting to hiring hookers for recruits who were under age?

State fans will represent the USA in the Olympics this year in Mental Gymnastics

If you're inferring that OM cooperated with the NCAA then you also haven't read the NOA. You've only read OMs response

Freeze isn't being charged with failure to monitor... he is being charged with Lack of Institutional control. big difference. i'll pray for you to gain a better understanding of operations within a framework of rules.

That sounds about right for the penalties. I think they will add to the probation timeframe, it will be 5 years. Don't think they add to the post season ban. So that would be what 20 lost scholarships over 3 years, 1 year bowl ban, 5 year probation, HCHF sits a game, the Barney guy gets a show cause, the cheating arse RR booster gets disassociated and some other minor procedural things.

Not sure MSST fans will go nuts if that is the penalties. That's pretty bad and to have the HFC get a suspension for a game or two is a big deal, IMO.

I'd say that will frick Ole Miss for at least 5 years to recover.

The NOA combined is like reading War & Peace. that alone should tell you it is the greatest workup of infractions in the history of football.

You replied to me, but that's not my quote. You can't be serious about copying the NOA
