Their deal was over a bunch hookers . They looked like angels compared to the SMU ways of Ole Miss.
Freeze is done.

That sure doesn't look good hkw the ncaa pretty much told petino that they didn't believe his "I had no idea what was going on" routine. Freeze will get treated the same way. Ole miss is fricked.

I see it completely different. This is great news for OM. I think they may accept their penalties and suspend Freeze two or three games.
They'll have to vacate wins, etc.
OM fans should be excited for the first time in a while IMO.

FWIW, and probably not much, but Finebaum's take was that it was bad for the Black Bears, in that if the NCAA's did not buy Pitino's excuse of not knowing, it has no basis to believe Freeze, either. He also said, that at $4M a year, Pitino should have known. Same goes for Freeze.

All things equal this should have hammered Pitino but they let him off easy. If I was an Ole Miss fan I would sleep easier tonight. I thought Freeze would get laughed back to women's high school basketball but if he takes a two or three game suspension that's a big win.

Sex and hookers sponsors by the coaching staff
Or
An FCA member giving recruits a ride to campus to visit
Totally the same

Don't believe we had any wins the last years under Nutt.
LSU was taking a knee in the 3rd quarter.

I also view this is pretty good news I would be okay with freeze being suspended for an entire season, vacating all of our wins in the past two years, vacating the Sugar Bowl win, A slight bump in increase the scholarship reductions, And No bowl for the season.

To bad they were punished under the old rules and you guys will be under the new harsher penalties.

congrats! you've moved on to stage 3!
quote:
1. Denial – The first reaction is denial. In this stage individuals believe the diagnosis is somehow mistaken, and cling to a false, preferable reality.
2. Anger – When the individual recognizes that denial cannot continue, they become frustrated, especially at proximate individuals. Certain psychological responses of a person undergoing this phase would be: "Why me? It's not fair!"; "How can this happen to me?"; "Who is to blame?"; "Why would this happen?".
3. Bargaining – The third stage involves the hope that the individual can avoid a cause of grief. Usually, the negotiation for an extended life is made in exchange for a reformed lifestyle. People facing less serious trauma can bargain or seek compromise. For instance: "I'd give anything to have him back." Or: "If only he'd come back to life, I'd promise to be a better person!"
4. Depression – "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"; "I'm going to die soon, so what's the point?"; "I miss my loved one, why go on?"
During the fourth stage, the individual despairs at the recognition of their mortality. In this state, the individual may become silent, refuse visitors and spend much of the time mournful and sullen.
5. Acceptance – "It's going to be okay."; "I can't fight it; I may as well prepare for it."
In this last stage, individuals embrace mortality or inevitable future, or that of a loved one, or other tragic event. People dying may precede the survivors in this state, which typically comes with a calm, retrospective view for the individual, and a stable condition of emotions.

How is this good from ole miss pov? Dude, they took 4 schollys from louisville...that's more than an entire recruiting class over 4 years, considering you only have 13 scholarship players on your team at any given point in basketball? Louisville has their backs against the wall now in the sense that the players they do sign, they better not miss on, they better all live up to the hype and be major contibutors for their team...which won't happen bc you always have players that don't live up to the hype/expectations out of hs. Now, what happens if they miss on a few kids, and they will, bc some players simply peak in hs? Then you have to demand more minutes out of the good players you do have and pray that they dont get hurt or become ineligible for some reason. Even if they do stay healthy and eligible, what happens when fatigue sets in and you have to substitute? Youre screwed, because the other team has a top notch player that is fresh off the bench and you have either a no-talent walk on or a true freshman with very limited experience. That is what UL is looking at for the next few years. Thats without them finding as much that they have on ole miss football, as far as serious level 1 violations and pay for play are concerned. With this ruling in mind, the equivalent for ole miss football would be 25 scholarships over 4 years and a bowl ban of 1-2 years, including a fine of millions of dollars and vacated wins and their coach may get a show cause, bit at least suspended for some games in the 2018 season. Again, how in the hell could this be viewed as a good sign for ole miss?

I am not that familiar with the case at Ole Miss, but I do have some advice....
Don't help the NCAA at all like we did. UofL basically hung themselves, telling the NCAA everything. Make THEM do all the work and you will get off easy

Lololol keep telling yourself that.
Academic Fraud alone is going to destroy the school. This is a serious allegation. You have kids who received federal money for the sake of cheating on an exam.

If anything I think it gives Freeze hope, Pitino didnt get shite.

Pitino is a coach that has won titles at Louisville and Kentucky. He has coached in the NBA. Pitino and Louisville probably worked with the NCAA. Freeze is a girls basketball coach made into a football coach that didn't work with the NCAA. Ole Miss is going to get chocked slammed. That's the difference.

Agreed. But Pitino wasn't named in the NOA. His punishment is a result of being the HC.
CHF is named in Level 1 violations and has a LOIC pointed directly at him.

But he was only really named because it was under his watch. He will get a harsher penalty for sure, but like stated, I think it gives him quite a bit of hope
