I've seen that old UK logo before and never once thought, "hmm, dick tongue". Did an Aggie first point that out?
We revised the logo in the early 90s specifically because of that. Look at the OP logo and notice the difference. It was most definitely a thing. You must be in your 20s.

Also, I fricking hate Tennessee.

But the old Davy Crockett logo is one of the greatest logos ever. Why they have gone away from it is beyond me. Power T and Davy. Leave it the frick alone

you're off by more than 20, actually. How does me not seeing a dick instead of a tongue mean I'm young? Old guys are all closet homos in Kentucky?

I’ve always found that old LSU logo to be scary looking.

It looks like they got Mike hooked on meth.

The LSU logo shown in the OP comes from a photo of Mike III. That was the tiger head used on the side of the helmets up until a few short years ago. I prefer that one to the new one. Then again, I'm an old fart who doesn't like too much change. Carry on, you young whippersnappers.

Did Kentucky ever get around to using the colors of, you know, the actual teams involved on their program covers?

Note that some of those were road games. It was the style of the time.

UGAs only logo as far as i am concerned.

Yeah, but the "G" isn't the modern font that UG got permission from the Green Bay Packers to use.

That's Alabama's best logo, and it always will be.

Maybe an Ole Miss fan can track down the lost version of Colonel Reb in that style?

I looked at Col Reb and found this

1947 looks like what I remember growing up, but reverse...
