We actually had to share our conference with another blue blood for decades and play another OOC every season. (Nebraska and Texas)

LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Yea - the SEC is just Alabama and the 13 dwarfs. I'm glad we didn't have to compete with Nebraska and Texas for the last 10 years. Thank goodness we got Auburn, LSU and Florida instead. Shew!

Oh please...... we need to laugh.....

You can start with the 14 here.....

1934-
Once again, a Big Ten team was selected by Professor Dickinson (of the University of Illinois) as the national champion, with the undefeated Minnesota Golden Gophers being accorded the honor. The conference, however, still had a bar against its members playing in the postseason, so Minnesota did not play in any of the bowl games. The undefeated and eventual Rose Bowl Champion Alabama Crimson Tide was selected national champions by Dunkel, Williamson and Football Thesaurus.

1942-
Alabama also claims a share of the 1941 national championship due to its selection as national champion by the Houlgate System.

16 national titles? So you count the 6 Alabama miraculously won in the summer of 1987? Ok then.

Personally, I am content with AP national titles

1. Alabama (10)
2. Notre Dame (8)
3. Oklahoma (7)
4. Miami (5)
4. Ohio State (5)
4. USC (5)
7. Nebraska (4)
7. Minnesota (4)
9. Florida (3)
9. Florida State (3)
9. Texas (3)

Or Coaches Poll

1. Alabama (9)
2. Oklahoma (6)
3. USC (5)
4. Ohio State (4)
4. Nebraska (4)
4. Miami (4)
4. Texas (4)
8. Florida (3)
8. Florida State (3)
8. LSU (3)
8. Notre Dame (3)

Or titles since the BCS started in 1998 if you'd rather

1. Alabama (4)
2. Florida (2)
2. LSU (2)
2. Ohio State (2)
2. Florida State (2)
2. USC (2)
7. Auburn (1)
7. Clemson (1)
7. Miami (1)
7. Oklahoma (1)
7. Tennessee (1)
7. Texas (1)

Or the last 25 years

1. Alabama (5)
2. Florida (3)
2. Florida State (3)
4. LSU (2)
4. Nebraska (2)
4. Ohio State (2)
4. USC (2)
8. Auburn (1)
8. Clemson (1)
8. Miami (1)
8. Michigan (1)
8. Oklahoma (1)
8. Tennessee (1)
8. Texas (1)

George, I’ve got no problem with you. You are quite the astute Alabama fan; fair and balanced. Others should follow your lead such as TurdFanFL.

No matter the total, it’s obvious Alabama is tops.

Hence a coaching change, despite a “winning” record

Name calling? How elementary playground......

Hurt your feelings? Tore down the facade that Oklahoma fans had built up over the years about their team? Facts are facts, so you are just going to have to deal with it.

Sports boards are to fuss, cuss and discuss sports. If you can not handle it, then do not do it.

You insult Oklahoma throughout its history by being weak and playing the weak. You insult as well. You are not a real Alabama fan. You are a con; more like an LSU fan hiding your true identity.

You do not like a mirror being turned toward your team... sorry

While you would like it to be different, nothing I have said about Oklahoma has been false.

OU does have a losing record to the top 13 winningest schools, and has played them 100+ times less than Alabama, who does have a winning record over them.

OU's 1956 schedule is worst I have ever seen for a national title winning school (one team with a winning record, and the average record was about 3-6-1 and I am being generous) . And to top it off, at the end of the 1956 season, OU did not play in a bowl. You can say it was conference policy, but OU should have forced a change.

I am sorry that Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State basically were losers for most of their history, but that is a fact, and OU played in the Big 7/8 with these schools. That OU won so many conference titles is not a surprise. It would like Alabama playing in the Sub Belt, and then bragging about it.

But I will be fair, point out where I have stated an incorrect fact about Oklahoma......

LSU fan?

Is that what happened? I mean I get the argument, Alabama doesn't play hard if it's not a national title. Do you really believe this? Is the Sugar Bowl ...do they give a trophy for that? But , because Bama so "unmotivated" it's like OU didn't win the game according to your account. OU isn't Utah or some mid major. It was a blue blood matchup. Early in the game when McCarron was running down the field after a long pass for a TD, he looked well reasonably motivated. Maybe you want to go back and take a look.

OU fans really aren't that bad to visitors who come to Norman. We're friendly. That said, the comments about OU having it's own identity aside from conference affiliation is in my mind pretty accurate. Us v. every other school. No need to hate us for that.

OU was the better team that day. I never subscribe to the "unmotivated" theory. Could Alabama have been down due to the pick 6 and losing out on a chance for 3 in a row? Sure, but that would have ended weeks before the Sugar Bowl.

You are right, OU fans are not bad. No fan base is really that bad, all have bad apples.

However if you or anybody is sensitive to being poked at, then sports boards are not for you....

There is so much gold in that thread.

Not to them. It’s always about the conference and spinning Alabama/Saban’s successes as conference success.

What is it six team have won the MNC/CFBC sinse 1998?

They suck at the tit of TX, yet proclaim themselves big boys? Vandy gets as much in the conference as the others do sans bowl extras.

If you google the UT/OU game many of their fans and reporters were in awe of what Neyland showed them.
