There is no way this is delayed to 2025. They will be in the SEC for football Fall 2022.

This.
Not exactly a hot take, but tu and the land thieves are simply trying to minimize the financial burden of the exit. It's likely to cost them no matter what. Pay the B12 their money or suffer 4 years of foregone conference and marketing revenues.

We are in Academic Year 2022 (July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022).
Academic Year 2023 = July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023
Academic Year 2024 = July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024
Academic Year 2025 = July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025
You care about the dumbest shite. It will be 4 seasons they miss. 3 full academics years and ~90% of another.

Hey, I LITERALLY told them back when I had a TexAgs account, and the thread gets bumped periodically.
I told them to get in the SEC with A&M or they would wander in the wilderness forever.
You should have seen the responses.
I am vindicated like a MOTHERfrickER!!!

As far as public universities go only one (Texas) is elite.

I still wouldn't call a state school elite when it comes to academics

I'm sure the big12 will take A&M back.

No, both schools are prepared to pay buyouts needed to start in the 2022-2023 athletic year.

But I expect that to change if they can find landing spots for more Big 12 teams.
No way they wait four years to make the move.
