Have your fun hazing the newcomers, but lets be real. Texas and OU have been the ultimate prize every conference has sought for the last 30 years going all the way back to the original SEC expansion. It’s a massive win for the SEC in every possible way.

Please don’t think of us as “SEC.” Please think of us as the outsider, even more than Mizzou. It will make beating each “SEC” team and winning the conference that much more fun when we do it.

Except you won’t win the conference. You aren’t playing in a pussy league anymore with 1 or 2 tough games and 7 or 8 cupcakes.
You guys are going to love playing Miss, miss St , Auburn, LSU, Bama , back to back to back. Then throw in Tennessee, UGA, Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky and even Vandy.
You may win the game, but it will beat you down week after week after week.

We turned the SEC down to form the Big 12. History has shown that was a mistake, but don’t act like we are lucky to be here. The SEC wanted two feathers in its cap and the $$$ makes the most sense for both parties.

This is completely irrelevant to the point of this thread.
Texas and OU are prizes because they are the CFB equivalent of trust fund babies. They decided to compete with the other conferences by forming the Big XII and failed.
Now they’re coming to the SEC with their tail tucked between their legs. They would’ve much preferred to have the best SEC teams come to them, but their conference lost because Texas, OU, and Nebraska couldn’t compete in the biggest moments.
It’s their fault the Big XII lost out. When the Big XII was formed, it was arguably the best conference.

That's what you think, but I'd argue you'd be 5-6th in whatever division or split they choose for the merge. I'd say half or more of all SEC teams now would beat UT.
