Please no. This guy is a dumpster fire and I love him being at State
this isn’t even half accurate . Sermon has already achieved more in his short time as Miss state in several sports that has never been done . Several women’s programs have hit all time highs. No football coach will ever be successful consistently there unless they start getting the funding most school in the sec are getting .

True but he hired Lebby and that was an awful hire. He only did it due to familiarity, took the easy way instead of a real search. Thats a bug strike against Zac in my book. Lebby is trash and made OU to look bad with his after game antics, going against the AD.

You mean women's tennis? That's really the only improvement. Not necessarily a ringing endorsement. He did hire O'Connor for baseball which is an excellent hire on paper.

That pistol sure looks familiar. Is that the pistol Switzer had in his carry-on at DFW in 1997 when he was coaching the Cowboys?...
My bad. Barry had a .38.

Joe C lead Oklahoma to 26 National Titles during his tenure. He cast a big shadow. Good luck to the next guy.

The overall program has been in decline since his arrival. Love Golden, but his other hires have been awful. Not to mention multiple scandals. As the Foley hires start to leave, the program worsens.

He did a great job overall. I think the AD of the future is going to look slightly different, though. You'll still have to produce winning programs, but you'll also need experience in raising capital at a whole new level.

Collegiate athletics is starting to look more and more like a VC play. Don't be surprised if you start to see people deeply connected in that world to make their way into athletic departments. Maybe not as AD's, but the AD's will need an understanding of that world and how to navigate within it.

Patterson scored a 10 on the dewsch scale. Surprised he didn't work out in Austin.

He is a nice guy.

To be honest, a lot of us were surprised he left Mizzou to come to OU considering what a train wreck it was when he took the job. It's hard to describe what a mess it was in when he got to OU. There was literally a war going on in the fan base between the old school Wilkinson people and the Switzer faction of the fan base and it had been going on for a couple of decades...

He healed that wound... and that was probably his most impressive feat.
