Todd Walker sounds like Dane Bradshaw

Dane Bradshaw is a former UT basketball player that calls games on ESPN if you don’t recognize the name.
Odd place to have 24 hrs to blow, but I can’t imagine many places I’d rather spend 24 hours.

I’d head up Mount Battie to enjoy the view overlooking the harbor and then spend the rest of the time strolling through town and checking out the boats.

Bettinardi Studio Stock 35.
Looks like Sydir Mitchell’s injury from Tuesday wasn’t significant and he was back out there today.

re: Charleston in July

We went the first week of June last year. It was great, not too hot and school was still in session, so it wasn’t crowded with school aged kids. As much as we enjoyed it, it would not interest me at all to go in July or August.

I’d call it a walking vacation. One day I had 35,000 steps. Doing that in July just isn’t possible.

#2 at Pine Hills in Calhoun. Been closed for several years now. It was playing 195-200 yds and I dunked it with a 4-iron. Destroyed the cup. It was at dusk and we just heard it hit the bottom of the flag.
Hinsdale is very nice. It’s one of the richest suburbs in Chicago, if not the richest.

Cost

The fitting was only $100 and takes an hour. The putter price is the retail price. You get your pick of any grip, but the Super Strokes with the Bettinardi logo are a $30 up charge. The fitting is charged regardless if you purchase a putter. Including the tour and waiting on the putter build, I was out in 1.5 hrs.

Fitting at Bettinardi Studio B

With all the Lab putter talk on this board and discussions about getting fit for a putter, I decided to get a putter fitting. I recently had at driver fitting at Club Champion and have tried all the LAB putters and have had several Scotty’s in the past. The Bettinardi experience far surpasses the Club Champion experience because you’re right there as they build it and also get the retail experience.

A guy was fitted before me and he had just flown in from Denver just to get fitted and was heading straight back to O’hare to fly out.

I ended up with a Studio Stock 35. Compared to my gamer, my toe hang was off for my stroke type and I went from a 35” to a 34.5”. My lie was the biggest change down to 66 from 70.

They also give a tour of The Hive(very limited production and 1 of 1 putters). They then have a secret door that goes from The Hive to their custom design room.

It’s long, but this a great video that goes through the whole process and ends in their build room.

I have considered OKC as well.

I’d recommend Tulsa over OKC if you’re considering Oklahoma.

He went 1-3 Saturday with 2 more K’s. So he’s 2-8 with a HR and 4 K’s.

Would love to see a goal line package with him at QB. I don’t recall our red zone stats but I believe we were below average and seems like we were pretty predictable inside the 5 yd line.

My oldest graduates high school this year. She’s getting a college education and monthly stipend for food, clothes, phone, gas, car, insurance. I’m jealous you’re getting away with only buying an Apple Watch.
Wow….what an awesome dad and great story. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck to Jake!
I’d just stick with plain cream cheese. I hope you get one and they aren’t sold out.

re: Tell me about Tulsa, Oklahoma

I lived there two different times over 7 years. My oldest daughter was born there and I’ve lived a couple of places in the Midwest and every corner of Louisiana. I’ll likely retire in Tulsa.

Very conservative and low cost of living. Not as major city but has everything you’ll need. Look at the replies in this thread, anyone who has lived there liked it and anyone who doesn’t like it, hasn’t lived there.

Jenks, Bixby, Owasso and Broken Arrow are good suburbs, but Jenks and Bixby are the two best.

Tulsa is very segregated, so any image you relate to cop shows is isolated to North and East Tulsa.

The guys coming in, better or worse in talent and performance, may very well get the same treatment. It will be very hard to navigate an SEC schedule with that kind of division.

In the NIL age, you think this isn’t the case everywhere? You have a first year guy who is paid 6 figures to come in and start over guys that have been in the locker room for 1-3 years. That’s a very uncomfortable dynamic and one that college players(young guys who are catered to)probably won’t navigate very well. He was the new guy, didn’t feel comfortable, and now he wants to place blame on something for underperforming.
When are you going? Are you interested in 30a at all?
