I mean the original comment would apply to you also but if your team competed for national championships too you would realize none of us (osu, bama, uga, etc fans) really care about non playoff/bcs championship bowl games.

They’re asking at the right time. The SEC has rules for 20+ years. Right now, I’d say Ohio State and Oregon are better than the SEC

Hey man, you won’t hear an argument from me. The watered down playoff combined with NIL and transfer portal, last season was the worst display of college football I’ve watched possibly ever.
It should’ve stayed at 4 to actually preserve the best possible feature the sport uniquely possesses: the immortality and lore the importance of regular season plays. You have to be close to perfect in college football to win it all. And now we just get a watered down jamboree tournament so ESPN can pocket extra hundreds of millions.
If you make it some stupid tournament hullabaloo - which they are bc it’s too much money for them not to - might as well just make it big as possible since it’s broken anyway.

The expansion is going to 16, the B1G and SEC will have half the field minimum. They are both going to have 4 guaranteed. He is just speaking on behalf of the conference.
You would think that if these ranters kept up with the latest and greatest from Sankey, they would know this much. Expansion is coming, and four automatic bids from the SEC and the Big Ten are coming with it. Day is hardly on the cutting edge of new info here.
