Urban would have easily made him a number one pick. He lucked out by getting Joe Brady as his coach, because under the previous regime at LSU, he looked very mediocre.

Ehh, who the heck knows. maybe Haskins still leaves but OSU doesn't have Fields now, and Burrow comes in under Day and tears it up still. Maybe Fields still comes in, Burrow goes to LSU and stil does what he does this year without starting last year. Maybe Burrow goes somewhere else and isn't drafted last night.
It's impossible to know. I'm happy for him it worked out amazingly well

Exactly, who the heck knows. Your comment is more suitable for the guy I responded to. It's undisputed that Joe left OSU because he wasn't getting playing time. So not sure how that equates to Urban "easily making him a number one pick."

Well, there is just one problem with that conclusion... They had a fellow who was competing with him named Dwayne Haskins. Burrow would have been just as good as Haskins if he had beaten him out, probably better, with his running ability, and all the WR's he had during his junior year there.

He was always been that good. The problem was he sat behind an "embarassment of riches". JT Barrett, the most prolific QB in big 10 history, and then Haskins. Ryan Day is as good as they come as a QB coach. He has always been prolific, and before he is done, it wouldn't surprise me if he becomes one of the greats.

Then why not have #9 with burnt orange & Tom Herman since T.H. had to convince Urban to offer Jeaux a scholarship.Urban got lucky on Jeaux since Nebraska didn't give Jeaux the time of day.

No we hate OSU fans for the same reason everyone else does, they are annoying and have Bama-level arrogance despite not being anywhere near the same level.

OSU is a good football program - nothing more.

Seems like tOSU beat 'Bama in their last meeting. Yes, 'Bama has the recent runs of NCs, but don't forget tOSU has had a couple of those as well, and a couple NCG losses like 'Bama in the last 20 ish years. But keep on hating...
