Thank you A&M Fans for not doing this with Murray.

If Burrow had left Ohio State the way Murray did and if his father had been the raging douche that Kevin Murray is, you can bet that Ohio State fans wouldn't want anything to do with him.

I'm gonna need elaboration. I've not heard of this.

Well it's not really inaccurate. All 3 were recruited by Urban Meyer and all 3 were teammates at one time and it was the first time in the NFL Draft that former teammates went 1,2,& 3 in the draft. So I think that is what Fox was getting at.
I don't understand why people get so upset that Ohio State fans and players like Joe or cheer him on. What's wrong with wishing the guy success in his career? I fully understand all his success is from LSU! But even Joe in his Heisman speech thanked his former coaches, university, and home state. Now if Joe would had transferred to Michigan I doubt Ohio State fans would be cheering him on like they do now. Yes, I wouldn't either but that's a rivalry so it's different.
We all have our favorite team we love in college football and for a lot of us it's in our home state. We also have our favorite team we hate! And for a lot of us it's our rival. but that doesn't mean some of us can't cheer for other teams or individual football players. For a lot of us it's just the love of the game!

Nothing.

Taking credit for something they didn't do in an attempt to make themselves look better is what's wrong.

This is probably true even without the graphic.

Too bad we don’t have a healthy contingent of Ohio St posters here — then maybe all this nonsense between LSU and Bama posters that exists here wouldn’t be as prevalent with those assholes around.

OSU now has more first round picks than any college team in history. They passed USC last night.

Are they showing that he didn't coach any of these guys in their breakout years. That he had this talent but it took another coach to develop it? That he had this talent and couldn't beat Wisconsin? Or that THE OHIO STATE cult at Foxsports Ohio is alive and well.

bayou85:

It is not terribly inaccurate. All of those guys were part of Urban Meyers recruiting classes at Ohio State. Urban Meyer's recruiting and talent evaluation is among the best in the business.

FOX sports as CFB, Urban Meyer is their lead Coach Analyst. Fox sports not marketing this would be business malpractice.

Life long LSU fan, saw my first LSU game as Kid in 1970 when LSU played Ole Miss (Archie Who game), the 2nd Game my Father took me to was the 1971 LSU/Notre Dame game.

Difference with Murray, who did they give the job to. Haskins won it over Burrow and went 1st round.

Do not even care. When people think of Joe Burrow, they will think of LSU, not Ohio State.

Urbam Meyer is a PoS that’s undoubtedly going straight to hell.

Burrow was not even that good until his senior year.
He said that himself last night.

If he were he would have started at Ohio State and never ended up at LSU.

Oh it is. If Joey came to play for Odom instead of Coach O and LSU, he would be going udfa. This is all credit to LSU. In fact, the only credit osu gets is for being lousy at evaluation and preparation. Just like Nebraska.

WTF is this crap

OSU recruited him first and was the biggest school to offer him a scholarship out of high school. LSU and Bama and Clemson didn't offer him. Are you going to say they were lousy at evaluation? OSU did develop him into a guy who could come in and be a competent starter his first year at a new school, as he was for LSU in 2018.

The year he had last year was amazing, and there's no one on this board who saw that coming. Even the biggest homer here (Buckeyejeaux or bengaljeaux now) or whatever his name is) didn't predict the level of success he had. Full props to Joe, his family and the coaching staff at LSU for getting him to that level.

Both of those can, and are true statements. OSU people are wishing him well and are happy for his success. LSU people are mad that OSU people are happy and wishing him well

They hate tOSU fans because they root for tOSU, and not an entire conference.

Face it, tSECfans are weird. Only fans in the country who root for an entire conference.

No we hate OSU fans for the same reason everyone else does, they are annoying and have Bama-level arrogance despite not being anywhere near the same level.

Oh and your previous HC was a terrible excuse of a human being that the planet would be better off without.

OSU is a good football program - nothing more.

There are idiots in every fan base. Meyer at Ohio State signed him out of HS. That is a fact, he wanted to go to Nebraska and follow his Father and Brothers and they didn't offer him. So I think 2 things can both be true.

1) Urban Meyer evaluated him and signed him at Ohio State.

Kudos to Meyer and OSU.

2) Coach O saw in him a young man that can play and after Joe lost to Haskins for the starting job, he went to LSU and developed into a great player

In my view and speaking for only Me as an LSU fan, I agree with you.

I agree, his football success was LSU. No doubt. But if I am Meyer and I take another job say in 2021, I would use this as a recruiting tool. If you were a Coach, would you not use every angle at recruiting you could use.

I was just listening to Hesters show in ESPN 104.5 in Baton Rouge and he and Charlie were talking about LSU's recruiting staff and coaching staff putting out tweets and other social media on LSU's coaching staff being not only being able to recruit 4/5* type guys and get them drafted, but 2/3* guys that indicate elite talent evaluation ability by Coach O and the staff and the ability to develop those guys to NFL draft picks (i.e, Clyde, Justin Jefferson and even Joe B).

All is fair in Love and Recruiting
