Ok. I guess the SEC will just have to keep hanging championship banners in our crappy stadiums.

Buckeye starts a thread on an SEC forum … about a stadium.

Your opinion is skewed based on your biggest rival just putting in stadium lights like 10 years ago. Hate to tell you we all have lights down here.

You know how I can tell you've never been to Death Valley, Jordan-Hare, Kyle Field, Bryant-Denny, The Swamp, or Sanford Stadium?

Any stadium with a track around its football field is a joke. I dated a girl that lived in Dublin, Ohio and would would drove up there several times the summer of 93. She worked at a restaurant on High Street some nights when I was there. Got bored while she was working one night and drove to the stadium to walk around outside and check it out. There was some construction going on at the stadium and the construction gate was left opened. I walked in to the stadium and went all over the place. Walked all over the field in the dark and thought it was pretty cool accept that stupid track. Who puts a track in their football stadium? I put that stadium at tier 2 level after that unguided tour.

Yeah because I’m sure Louisiana is so much better.

Psst, hey buddy.. they removed the track 23 years ago and a lot of iconic stadiums had a track at some point.

You are missing the historical significance (think Wrigley or Fenway) and in its current state it's as modern as any. Ohio Stadium hosted crowds of 70k+ before many SEC stadiums were even built and decades before they had crowds over 40,000.

Despite hating them, I've been in that stadium a dozen times over the years and it's on a different level.

I have a bit of a unique perspective. My dad went to Michigan, and I went to LSU.

I’ve been to games at Michigan and Ohio State. They are fine, but they are nowhere near half the stadiums in the SEC.

UGA, UF, TAMu, LSU, Tenn, Auburn etc…. All well louder and wilder, especially when the team is good.

Went there last year for the OSU/ND game and was severely underwhelmed. I was expecting an electric crowd for a top 10 home opening matchup but it was extremely average. The coolest parts were the band pregame and the drone show at halftime. It started to make sense why OSU hasn’t won anything since 2014. Not to mention they all unanimously said that Marcus Freeman was a better coach than Brian Kelly

Big 10 has caught up with the SEC on stadium sizes even passing many on attendances.
But the atmosphere just isn’t there

It doesn't matter buckl. It's still a stadium full of Buckeyes. Kinda' like having the world's biggest toilet bowl made of gold.
