Official SECR Power Rankings - Week 3

There is a new #1 for the public. This was our largest vote yet, with OVER 500 coming in this week. Georgia held onto the top spot on our official panel, with Texas taking #1 in the public vote.

Ole Miss beat Charlotte 41-9 last week in what was mostly an offensive clinic for Trinidad and co. The defense still has some stuff to clean up, but we didn't play multiple starters who were nursing injuries. Now, LSU and Lane Kiffin come to town in what will be a civil and low-brow football game (lol). Every one of our players who didn't play against Charlotte will be available for this game, so I look forward to a fully healthy Ole Miss vs. fully healthy LSU team. God help us all.
Slow start; strong finish. Good win on the road vs an SEC opponent... period. QB1 is gaining experience and mental lapses and errors are part of that process. Defense looks very promising. Long road ahead and a lot of work to do if they want to stay competitive for a CFP spot. We will see what happens.
Bama avoided a scare at Kentucky after a less than inspiring first half. The second half, however, was perhaps one of the best halves of football we’ve played as a team under DeBoer. Elite defense and special teams, with an offense that finally began to click. We were finally able to RUN THE DAMN BALL. Revenge game against a flailing FSU program up next - a game that (on paper) shouldn’t be competitive.
Our team looked like a team that was looking ahead to next week. We have a big game in Oxford in week 3. But, it is still on the coaches to have their team prepared. Hopefully we see more of the week 1 LSU Tigers instead of the week 2 LSU Tigers.
Dawgs are dominant - only allowing garbage time points against backups & over 60 PPG - hard to take them down in a power ranking, despite weak early competition

Mississippi State- walked into the trap and took over the trap. Kamario is rightfully gaining a lot of buzz, but don’t let his play overshadow the run D holding a big ten team to 13 yards rushing. The dawgs took the gophers to the woodshed in a 38-13 beat down.
LSU played distracted. Clearly looking ahead to Ole Piss
Average offense with great second half defense Texas A&M
Kentucky played well for almost 3 quarters and then shat down their legs. 3rd ever start for our QB coming up at Texas A&M,
LSU - Defense is legit best in the country, Offence is lead by an All-American Flag Football Quarterback -- coaching refuses to throw to first round 6'7" TE in the redzone
Aggies good. Defense good. Offense... not as good. ASU girls hot. Kentucky next. I like Bourbon.
Florida - Offense executing at a high level, continues to be explosive. The OL has exceeded preseason expectations so far. Defensively, the front is still in question. LB and DB play has been solid.
This LSU team feels a bit like those LSU teams Les Miles put together. The defense will keep us in games until the offense starts to figure it out. While Leavitt's interceptions were disgusting to watch on TV, that was only his second multi turnover game of his career. Despite the INTs, one of which became a 100-yard TD, his PFF was still 81.6. He will be fine. The running game was more concerning for me. We have to get that going earlier against Ole Miss. Just give the ball to Tradez Green!

Texas looked fairly bad for 3 qtrs, but they outlasted a wilting OH St and deserve #1 for now.
If theyre worthy, they'll keep it. If not, that will take care of itself.

Not saying A&M are world beaters, but their win over Arizona State is a much better win than Baylor.
