Official Laugh at LSU's DC Hire thread

O has to be trying to get fired at this point. He fricked up the entire coaching search from the start by firing Pelini before having a replacement locked up. He went into it being too confident and what do we have to show for it? A very mediocre (at best) DC hire after multiple others left us at the alter. What is going on? Why is LSU so damn terrible at hiring coaches? Jesus Christ this is bad.

That's true for the most part. Most LSU fans hate this hire. Good God why can't LSU have nice things and keep it that way?

I'm neutral on it because dude hasn't even coached a game yet. I liked Freeman better but I understand why he didnt want to move across the country for a year or two.
Other than Freeman, who did you like better and why?

I have no problem acknowledging the coaching search was less than inspiring. Whether its a good hire I truly don't know. I just hope to hell they didn't offer him the same pay they were offering Freeman.

Coach O promised the best coordinators, yet he got a QB coach for OC and a DB coach for DC. I think he got the phrase "under promise and over deliver" a little mixed up. I can definitely see why a lot of LSU are none too happy with this.

I'm not saying these guys will be the "best coordinators" but how do you know how good they'll end up being?

No one knows, but logic dictates you mean meaningful experience and a resume of success. Tell me what makes you think he won’t be terrible.

When you make a statement like that it gives the impression that you're going to hire actual proven coordinators, not position coaches that you hope might grow into great coordinators.

This guy will be a great coach for us! Recruits are already excited. Hes smart, driven and very much loved by his players

I don't get too hung up on a "resume of success" because I've seen plenty of guys without a "resume of success" win at LSU.
LSU fans understand that accomplishments at another school don't necessarily carry over to LSU.
