Actually, I don't think he'd put this out tonight if he was leaving. There would be no reason. Don't over think this.

As a lifelong Bama hoops fan all I can say is well played sir. RTR

Doubtful you get a coach in your top 10. Kentucky just doesn’t have the pull they used to.

I’ve heard something similar to this before.

Are y'all looking at Lloyd at AZ?

With their athletic departments financial woes, he could well be available

That's what they said about Bama football in 2007. Kentucky will find their guy. I'm just happy it won't be Oats.

Imagine being Kentucky and being told to frick off by a guy who was coaching at Romulus High School when UK won their last national championship.

This likely means he was not contacted and know that he will not get the job. I imagine the Donovan talk is true or it's Drew.

We can always count on LSU fans to bring us University of Alabama news. Strange enough, it’s good news this time, but either way we appreciate your interest in our program

It was reported from the very beginning that Oats wouldn’t be interested.

Anything seen otherwise was message board hopes and prayers from rival fans.

What rumors? Message board speculation?

Eta NVM saw Dunaway tweet

The rumors were apparently big enough that it needed an article on the secrant home page: LINK

ETA: To be clear, I never believed there was any validity to this talk. Just pointing out that there was clearly a lot of hope and cope being spread.

Yeah because we've never seen a coach announce something like this before receiving a higher offer in private and then publicly changing stance abruptly 180 degrees. Insert eye rolls here.

Saban is one such coach who comes to mind. Gumps should know this by now.
