Burrow might have been using the moment to ingratiate himself to his (mostly black) team mates, so not sure it makes him such a great guy, but had I to have to make a choice- support or oppose BLM, I would support. I don't know about the organization now, but I do know that black lives matter started after the murder of Trayvon Martin, and that, in my opinion, was a sad tragedy. If I oppose something, it's that piece of shite George Zimmerman.

Yeah, Jesus agreed with every idiotic fringe idea.
Not saying it has anything to do with Burrow's speech...but Jesus said a lot of things that were considered idiotic fringe ideas to the Sanhedrin and Pharisees:
Saying, "Love your enemies, and bless those who curse you".
Turning over tables in the Temple.
Pretty much the entire sermon on the mount...

Where’s the speech about BLM scamming money money from the organization to build themselves mansion instead of putting it back into the community like they said.

I'll say it for the third time. Where does Burrow reference BLM at all? He simply supported a friend and teammate who was verbally attacked for the color of his skin. Intentionally misleading threads like these are pathetic.

Burrow does not reference BLM in the original post by StopRobot.
Burrow does not reference BLM in StopRobot's second post.

Last time I checked, BLM is run by Marxist and Marx called religion the "opium of the people". Seems a bit strange to use the most well known religious figure in history in an attempt to defend an organization run by people who think religion is garbage.

“The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers,” she said, referring to BLM co-founder Alicia Garza.
“We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk,” Cullors added in the interview with Jared Ball of The Real News Network. Patrice Cullors cofounder of BLM. Cullors, 36, was the protégé of Eric Mann, former agitator of the Weather Underground domestic terror organization, and spent years absorbing the Marxist-Leninist ideology.

BLM is the biggest crock of sh@t this country has ever seen. It only serves one real purpose....social unrest and division.
As a QB leading a team of mostly undereducated guys who are predominantly minority and for the most part likely skated by without a real education, i can see the personal motivations of Burrow saying this. Burrow isn't stupid. I will give him that.

Wonder what the odds are that his teammate that was so affected by this racial slur has 10 or more songs on his phone that repeatedly use the same racial slur?
Does racism exist? Of course. If you want for me to take you seriously on racial issues though you need to be talking about a colorblind society where no race is superior to another and no race gets special privileges of any kind. If you are offended by language you better damn sure be opposed to that language when someone you like uses it. You can't pick and choose this race to support and this race to blame if you are serious about social justice. Unfortunately that encompasses about 98% of the people who talk about social justice.
Kind of reminds me of a conversation I had with a girl long ago when I asked her if she was a feminist. Her honest answer was, "Sure, when it benefits me!" It's very hard for me to respect or take people like that seriously.
Part of your issue is that you likely have never experienced the type of incident that Burrow did.
I have on several occasions.
Most notable is when I was asked to watch the children of a black family. (Kids all under 10) They lived in a white neighborhood. We went to the local park and we hadn't been there 15 minutes before a bunch of white kids started throwing out the "N" word.
Watching a 13 year old kid get in the face of a five year old child and threateningly and for no reason other than pure meanness say "get out of here N*****" was certainly impactful for me.
Not to say your post is without merit especially when it comes to hip hop lyrics. But when something random like that happens it makes you wonder how many times it happens when you aren't around.
