Nussmeier called a hell of a game

Y'all gave him a lot of shite for some calls earlier in the year, but he called a heck of a game tonight. He knew his backs were unstoppable and just swallowed his pride and stuck with them. Then boom play action for the win. Incredible call. Everything executed so well. I know y'all give McElwain and now Nussmeier shite sometimes, but I wish LSU had an OC as competent. That's the difference between BAMA and LSU, and why you will win 3/4.

Once we got back to the run game, it was the difference.

if he ever calls another pass play on the 1 yard line though, im coming for him. No reason that game should have been so close.

I just can't wait until next year to see if he gets enough key players to install his 'wanted' offense. I've never dreamed of seeing Bama as a West Coast Offense, but if it could happen, why not?

The thing about McElwain is that he could turn a first year QB into a superstar for ONE - TWO HUGE games a season. He knew his QBs. He was great at building a QB.
McCarron isn't bad. He is actually a good QB, but most of that is because of McElwain called plays to McCarron's Adv.

Alabama's offense went back to 2009 form. Overwhelming run heavy.
Didn't like Alabama's last drive before UGA's ending drive. 3 plays of NT @ FB, 3 TE's run up the gut. Ran better when at least 2 WR's were out wide.
Lots of Heart attacks in Alabama and Georgia tonight.

After the first quarter and a half, I'd say it was near perfect. We ran the ball 51 freaking times! Wow.

He SHOULD have run the ball first & foremost against LSU & TAMU, would've won going away.

Not trying to take anything away from Nussmeier (I actually think he's not bad as an OC), but when the opposing team has no rush defense, it doesn't take a great OC to call rush plays.

My biggest problem with the O has been these crazy arse experiments with the hurry up and the Meercat Manor type lining up and then checking in with the sideline to make adjustments before the snap routines...
Just call the play in the huddle, line up, and play some damn football.

He'll learn and obviously has, but some of that may be the fact that you have to show the threat of pass to be able to run. I think he's a great OC.

Great play calling 2nd half after he got away from passing on 1st then run on 2nd and long . Killed us in a few games this year when everyone knew it was coming.

If Bama could run on LSU I knew we could against gA but not that much. I had picked GA to win 24-20 with Murray killing our secondary.
