Probably because Jefferson is a better all-around QB than McElroy, has more potential than McElroy, is more talented than McElroy, and has more NFL potential than McElroy.

based on what??

But there's really no question if you're just asking someone to pick between the two. The only people in the country that might pick McElroy over JJ would be Bama fans. The same cannot be said for LSU fans and JJ.

Please give me a legit answer. Please?

What exactly is your reasoning behind this?

Jefferson is a tall pocket passer who can really pull it down and run. I don't view McElroy as a better passer.

The obvious answer is Houston Nutt

McElroy had a rough start, against a good team, but was excellent in the second half and was close to perfect in a tune up game. To act like there's no debate is silly. I do think JJ will be a star though.

+1

Anyone who thinks otherwise just isn't being logical.

So, let me get this straight, he's better because he is a tall pocket passer who can really pull it down and run, and he's better because YOU dont view McElroy as a better passer? Please, anyone, back up your claims that JJ is better than McElroy.

Well, you've already discounted every LSU opinion in this thread as being biased, so there's a simple solution: call Mel Kiper when he's on and ask.

He's actually discussed this very topic a couple of times already.

Or, limit the responses to this question to non-LSU and Bama fans. Everyone that is familiar with both QBs abilities knows the answer to this, though. It's not a difficult question. Again, though, I am not knocking McElroy. He'll be good too.

Well its only logical to call you a homer when you have nothing real to back up your claim that JJ is better besides "well uhh, he's taller, and he's uhh, he can really pull it down and run, and uhh, he's younger." Give me a break.

Those are actually a couple of very important aspects of QBing that you're mocking there.

Don't follow the NFL draft much, do ya?

didn't we just do this thread and 100% of the non LSU/Bama fans picked Jefferson? Did a 5 of 15 start vs Vt or a game against some shitty patsy just turn this ginger into a day walker all of a sudden?

saying JJ is because they are LSU fans, which is fine.

I'm not a LSU fan and I'd rather JJ.

very convenient of you to only include 2 quarters out of 8 into your argument.
