Every program does this with every ex-coach, doesnt matter how good they are were or good they continue to be. Grass is always greener, will always hate the coach that left, etc etc

They got to sell something especially in the down periods for news. I will say this ND was not happy in how BK left with their team potentially making the playoff and they will never forget it. BK wanted more material support out of ND and it was not happening so he left for a place with potential and plenty of material resources. Time will tell who has the last word on this subject.
ND views Kelly's departure for Baton Rouge like Bama did Franchione's departure for College Station back in 03. They think they're too good to be left, too big of a program and brand.
That's not to say they're correct.

I think it's weird that they are taking shots at him now, but I don't blame ND people for hating him. He left quit on a team that was in contention for a playoff spot. If a coach at LSU did that, I would hate them until the end of time.

A big part of Freeman's success is that ND realized when they lost their coach that they had to open up the purse strings to compete in the current college football landscape. ND benefitted greatly last season from buying players in the portal.
ND is definitley recruiting the types of players they were not in the past. I am not sure if that has to do with NIL as much as them loosening up on the academic requirements for the players they recruit

They hate CBK for leaving
Freeman is being pushed by media
ND should be thanking CBK for leaving them in great shape (unlike O at LSU)

I mean they aren’t wrong. Kelly has always folded in big games and Freeman won several last year
If Freeman wins a championship, he will have gone farther than Kelly at ND

I think their RB is back, Love. Big back, 4.3 speed. Probably will be a 1st/2nd rounder.

ND does seem to be doing better with the young and dynamic Marcus Freeman as Head Coach.
LSU losses last year were to four teams with young coaches. That probably does not mean anything though.
They embraced the portal in a big way this off season so maybe they realize they have been too static.

Kelly left Freeman a team ranked #10 in the 247 Talent Composite.
O left Kelly a team ranked #8 in the 247 Talent Composite.
LSU fans really need to stop perpetuating this lie that O left the cupboard bare.

I mean, you can’t deny that ND has improved under Freeman. Athletically, the team is much superior than the Kelly teams. They’re much faster and more physical than the cannon fodder Kelly trotted out
Are you sure about that or did the system just change to Freeman's benefit?
Regular Seasons and Final College Football Playoff Ranking (before bowls and playoff). System changed in Freeman's last year so compared regular seasons
Brian Kelly:
2019 - 10-2 (15)
2020 - 10-1 (4)
2021 - 11-1 (5)
Marcus Freeman:
2022 - 8-4 (21)
2023 - 9-3 (16)
2024 - 11-1 (5)

If he's "shite", I'd hate to see what you believe of the rest of the coaches in the SEC.
None as fake and cringy as yours. I don't care for Freeze either, but Kelley is unbearable.

It’s a weird article to make too.
They didn’t hire Kelly’s DC when he left because the team was bad.
Kelly was 44-6 his last 4 years at Notre Dame. he would have made the playoffs 4 years in a row.

I don't really care about his personality, just win, baby.
He has the second highest win percentage in the conference but he obviously needs to now take the next step.
2025 will determine his tenure here IMO.

He’s not lying, after he reinforced with transfers, he still had more talent on paper than ND had, especially skill players at WR. That’s post the 39 players stuff.

Exactly. Kelly didn't coach a game at LSU with "39 scholarship players."
When Kelly coached his first game at LSU, he had more talent (on paper) than Freeman had at ND when Freeman coached his first game.

The debate about Freeman and Kelly is tired. They're both good coaches.
ND has benefitted from Freeman and a larger investment in football since Kelly left.
LSU has been decent. What you saw last year was a program that failed to match the investments of other programs like Ohio State and Ole Miss.
That being said, Kelly needs to go 10-2 or better this year. The excuses are beginning to run dry.
