We are the Rebels who had a politically incorrect mascot “Col Reb” the Rebel flag and played from Dixie with Love at our games. These all hurt us in recruiting as you can imagine. The student body voted to change the mascot to a bear. And our defense got a tradition going where the put a fin up after a sack, and were known as the Landsharks. Now you know, so kindly GFY.

LSU fans really have a hard time keeping up.
They struggle the most with our mascot too and it’s been over 100 years. Guess they still haven’t had time to catch up

Bear is gone. Rebels with the Shark mascot that represents Tony Fein the late rebel defender that started the fins up celebration. The mascot is also named Tony.

Difficult to understand. So many teams have a mascot name differently than the school i can see why you’d be confused.
To name a few in conference.
Alabama Crimson Tide and an Elephant
Tennessee Volunteers and a dog
Texas A&M Aggies and a dog
Ole Miss Rebels and Landsharks

First, a mascot isn’t always the team name and in fact I think their mascot is now the landshark. Besides that , though i have seen Ole Miss Rebels, Ole Miss Landsharks , snd Ole Miss Black Bears, i have never see Ole Miss Ackbars

So it’s Rebels again and not Black Bears. Seems reasonable to me since rebels has never only applied to The confederate army.

It is the Ole Miss Rebels and has not been changed. The ONLY thing they did was change the cartoon character for the kids from Col Rebel to a bear then to a lizard-alien thing they call a landshark.
This is not new for you imbeciles yet you continue to get it wrong. Do you call these schools by their adopted mascots?

I asked a legitimate question. One Ole Miss fan answered reasonably. The rest have been jerks so they actually deserve to be trolled.
A team nickname isn’t shite. If i want to troll them I’ll remind them that Ole Miss is a mere stepping stone for Kiffin.
