You're pointing out once in a lifetime depth at the QB position. That's not a very good argument.
Bottom line is that if if you can say that the SECCG showed that Alabama was the better team (because of Metchie and Williams), then we can make the same stupid argument that we were the better team in 2017 and 2018 because of the first halves of those games before you subbed in your backups.

UGA did not win with a backup in 2021. That was Stetson's job at that point. Naming a few other miraculous performances doesn't make something the norm.

Needing backups to step up for a starter is common.
All 3 of those teams had a backup take over and help win it all.

When I was younger, back in the 80s my dad and I were watching a race on TV. 2 truck commercials came on back to back. 1 was a Chevy commercial, the other was a Ford commercial.
In both their commercials they promoted their trucks as being better than Toyota trucks. Citing articles, specific stats, etc.
My dad giggled and said - Do you know which one is the best? It's Toyota, that's why they both compare themselves to it.
And it's no different here. In your own post what are you doing? Comparing Georgia to Alabama. Because Alabama is the standard.
If Georgia does become the standard, you won't hear the word Alabama in it at all.
