There's alot of talk about how if Harrison would not have got hurt, the Suckeyes would have won. Nobody seems to be pointing out that our 2 starting OLBs (Chambliss and Beal) both got hurt, one of our DEs, Williams left the game with an injury, TE Washington sprained an ankle in the 1st quarter and did not return. We could argue that if these would have all stayed healthy, we would have beat them worse than we did.
If uga loses I don't lean on the excuse thing, especially when both teams had them, it's just lame. But that's just me.

If Williams and Metchie hadn't gotten injured.....
Five years from now Alabama will declare itself the 2021 national champions based on "what could have happened".

That doesn't even get into McConkey not being 100%, having lost Nolan Smith for the season during the WLOCP, etc.

Superior depth wins.

Nolan Smith - will be playing on Sundays this year

McConkey - didn’t play @ 100% and got banged up more.

Agree Herbie didn’t mention them when he was rattling off OSU’s.

Everyone forgets about Dan Jackson (starting safety) being out the season as well.

Just like we never hung any of the 2021 shortcomings on Adam Anderson being out, AD Mitchell and Arian Smith banged up, and others. It's not in our DNA to blame losses on injuries.

I started a thread a while back about this and got stoned by some Bama fans, but truthfully, even my Bama fan friends (the sensible ones anyway) tell me they are embarrassed about the whole Metchie and Williams thing still getting brought up. It was a Bama fan who told me, "Heck, the only reason Bennett was playing was because JT Daniels got hurt and Bowers was playing because Washington was hurt." So, some of them are not ignorant to the fact that UGA had lots of injuries too and didn't seem to hurt us all year.

Actually it's a dumb trend that only losers would go the trouble to search for. I just wonder if BOTH of our starting OLBs and a DE would have stayed in the game how would Stroud's numbers have looked?

JT Daniels started like 5 games in his entire dogshit career and Washington has about 600 yards on his worthless 3 year career

While your opponents are without guys like:

- John Metchie III
- Jameson Williams
- Jayden Daniels
- Treyveon Henderson
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba
- Marvin Harrison Jr.
- Cade Stover

All big time playmakers that aren’t still riding their high school recruiting ranking.

There will always be heavy elements of subjectivity in football games. Football involves large athletes pushing, shoving, and hitting each and bc of that, kids get hurt. Objectively, the box score remains.

Ohio State is a very good team, they played a very good game, they came very close to winning the game.

CJ Stroud played phenomenal.

Georgia scored more points and played their best late.

Nobody will every convince emotional Pulpwood that the 2002 Florida, 2012 AL, 2017 AL, 2018 AL games weren’t complete BS. I’m a fan and I’m an attached apologist for my team. My Dawgs lost and I was emotionally negotiating with myself to justify how it happened. The reality is they just didn’t make enough plays to win. I have sympathy for OSU in these following days because it sucks and I don’t feel the need to turn the knife.

But the box score remains.

Third TE is good.

For now. Next year, Delp will be amazing.

But, we will miss the size of Washington. Can't replace those genetics.

Not to mention we had already lost one of the best edges in the nation and our starting safety, prior to the game.

Ohio has it too. Rotated three different DLines all year.

This matchup was even in terms of recruiting.

Healthy is subjective Willy. There IS NO mechanism to distill relative health down to a concrete objective state. And it’s a fools errand to try. At any point in time every player on the roster is at gradient of 100%.

*can’t refute clear evidence*

*posts picture of overrated bum that got pushed around by a B1G line for 4 quarters*

Never change Dawgs - I’ll just leave this here in case anyone if you dumb sons of whores would like to explain how it isn’t fraudulent success

2018 LSU = Healthy = 20 point loss

2019 LSU = Healthy = 27 point loss

2021 A1abana = Healthy = 17 point loss

2021 A1abana (pt2) = Injured = 15 point smackdown

2022 LSU = Injured = Small/flukey win

2022 Ohio State = Healthy = Losing by 14

2022 Ohio State = Injured = 1 point lucky win

(Real college football dynasties don’t need help)

Well, my thread isn't exactly meant to "turn the knife", I give Ohio st credit for playing a heckuva game and giving us all we could handle. My point is, don't keep leaning on the lame injury thing. Both sides had injuries and could do this, but let's just give true credit where it is due and deserved. The Buckeyes played great and almost won and it had very little to do with Harrison getting injured, cuz I could immediately counterstrike that if our 2 OLBs and Williams hadn't have got hurt Stroud would have had alot more pressure on him and wouldn't have played the game he played.
