we're just laughing because UF couldn't beat the Gamecocks to win it, just LSU.

Lol? Very generous that he complimented USC by saying its lateral with UF. I disagree. It would be a step down. Small step but a step nonetheless

Yet nobody has explained how it's a step down. Mind blowing.

The fact that you even put Vandy with South Carolina and Florida is retarded

Wait....people in here are saying that the SC baseball job is a step down from the Florida baseball job?

That is just dumb.

That's exactly right. Leaving Florida for South Carolina is a step down like it or not. Their new AD Scott Stricklin won't let that happen and you can take that to the bank.

No it isn't. What advantages does Florida baseball have over South Carolina baseball?

I think you all are letting these past couple years of Chad Holbrook cloud yalls judgment a bit.

You can pull 2 > 1 all you want but UF has as many CWS appearances, more tourney appearances, conference championships, etc.

South Carolina definitely cares more about baseball but Florida has the elite talent pool and that's what really matters

I just think arguing about which is better better Florida and South Carolina is really splitting hairs. Both are elite programs with rich histories of winning.

Facilities - SC

Fan Support - SC

CWS Berths - Tied

CWS Championship Games - SC

CWS Titles - SC

Some of the LSU folks on here are devoid of reality.

The LSU fans in this thread saying SC is a step down from UF in baseball. It's the equivalent of saying LSU is a step down in football to a team with less fan support, worse facilities, less titles and less BCS bowl wins.

Explain how? South Carolina is a better job

As long as the scholarship situation remains what it is in college baseball, Florida will be a better job than South Carolina. Florida is one of if not the best states for high school baseball. Florida can offer all of those kids in state tuition. There aren't enough good high school players in South Carolina to build a championship program.

He can recruit at UF. He just won a title. Improved stadium situation otw. Not saying USCe isn't a desirable job, but not so desirablr that you leave UF after a title.

John Taylor - Florence, SC

Matt Price - Sumter, SC

Adam Westmoreland - Cayce, SC

Forrest Koumas - Lugoff-Elgin, SC

Michael Roth - Greer, SC

Colby Holmes - Conway, SC

Scott Wingo - Simpsonville, SC

Adam Matthews - Lexington, SC

Brady Thomas - Anderson, SC

Jake Williams - Greer, SC

All of the above players were vital players on our 2011 team that swept UF in the CWS Championship Series and didn't lose a game in the postseason.
