The NIL cap should be 250k per player per year. That should be enough money for a 19 year old. You should get one free undergraduate transfer and then another free transfer if you graduate and still have eligibility.

Rant over.

How do you tell barstool sports how much they are allowed to give Bryce Underwood for their marketing?

It’s the transfer rules not nil that is ruining the game. Everyone should be able to transfer…just like before, but the rule is you sit for a year. Pretty simple, but bleeding hearts already let that horse out of the barn. We aren’t going back. Next step…you don’t have to be a student or there are no limits how long you can be a student. Anyone interested in Tim Brady in his 40’s?

Transfers are by far the biggest frickup instead of NIL

I agree. I have no problem with players getting paid. The free agency from year to year is the problem. 1 transfer, and a waiver for a coach being fired, death of an immediate family member, something like that. What could be the problem with something like that if the player willingly signs that contract?

The issue is at this point it’s going to be very hard to reverse course. You could implement the 1 transfer rule fairly easily but getting players who are making millions to accept 250k isn’t going to happen. Pandora’s box is open.

I can't wait for the first trade in college. That's how ridiculous all this crap is getting.

You really are stupid. I know the argument you're thinking about making here. You need to think long and hard before you do, because you're going to humiliate yourself. Use just a little bit of logic and hopefully you will be able to make sense as to why.

Bleeding hearts … the USSC decision that unleashed this was 9-0 and those radical commie Marxists Gorsuch and Kavanaugh wrote the opinions.

This is not about politics or conservative vs. liberal which is what your bleeding hearts comment connotes, it’s the fact that fans are being shown once and for all that this is a business as much as a sport; it’s not different or more special than any other business before the law simply because of its tradition; and fans even though they certainly “pay the bills” don’t really have any tangible ownership in the thing.

Spending cap not salary cap. Follow the NFL on that.

Nice melt, hypocrite.

I just love the way the old blue bloods are wetting their pants over the menace of NIL and the transfer portal, now that it's taking away their competitive edge.

Collective bargaining is coming soon imo. I don’t think any team anywhere is happy with status quo of unrestricted free agency every off season.

Georgia and Alabama whining because they are losing players and easy championship runs to a team like Indiana.
