All these college coaches are full of shite.

“We need parity” - Saban
“NIL had nothing to do with it” - Jimbo
“I will win a NY6 Bowl” - Brian Kelly

I think he just means that he would like to stay at the top but wants different teams to beat.

Just bc it's the only sport I can compare in our case...

We claim to want parity in WBB too.

It doesn't mean we actually mean it. It sounds good, tho.

If you are insinuting your team will be better than Nick Saban's team or recruit better than Nick Saban, you are nuts

No, but we will pay more or at least just as much.

pay as much? I assume you are talking about boosters covering up by providing incentives, using NIL as cover. I got news for you. If it comes down to who has the most number of very wealthy boosters we will all be watching Texas vs USC in the national title game every year, till it kills college football.

Thankfully, it will be regulated and that won't happen.

This is the same Nick Saban that once recruited 4 of like the top 50 running backs in the country knowing full well all of them wouldn’t get touches -
He don’t give a Fk about parity.

LOL

You seem scared Bama is gonna lose their spot. You are very defensive.

It's a game, man. I'm old enough to have seen Alabama win more than their share, but lose some too.

Unhinged liberal politics kind of scares me. The future for my kids and grandkids kind of scares me. My wife when she's extremely pissed probably should scare me.

A game doesn't scare me.

So you think O and Miles were better coaches then? Since they have won that and then some at LSU….

"One of the things I'd like to see us be able to work back to is everything in college football has always had parity," Saban said. "Same scholarships, same academic support, healthcare, whatever it is. I don't think we have that balance right now, which can affect the parity of college football and college athletics as a whole."

What about this statement do people not understand or believe?
The only way an ultra elite coach like Saban will lose with any consistency is with an unlevel playing field, so why would he NOT want parity?

He had parity when he coached in the NFL. How did that work out for him?

He's beating the parity drum now knowing, if it ever does happen, it will take a few years to even come close to parity. By then he'll be on his way out and, if there is more parity, he will have secured his place as the GOAT both at Bama and all of CFB forever.

He's not dumb or humble.

It’s because he’s being hypocritical. Alabama’s football budget dwarfs entire conferences. How the frick is parity possible when certain schools have better resources than the NFL. If you’re going to preach for parity, be willing to give up what you have.

& im not saying anything what Bama (or any of the traditional powers) is doing is wrong. It’s just the reality of the situation. The big dogs will always be the big dogs.
