This kid's greatest benefit to Alabama's offense will be the fact that their opponents will have to very much respect the passing game, THEREFORE opening up the run game...no more safeties squatting at the LOS, 8 defensive players within 2 yards of the LOS, or double covering the primary receiver while zoning the other receivers.
The interesting thing to watch for next year will be how Alabama "redesigns" it offense to utilize the new opportunities for the run game.

Bogus thread.

Saban’s QB issues revolve around what to about Eli.

Also ran for 2 TD's. And much of that was playing with our subs.

Same subs in the 4th qtr of the champ game.

How quickly people forget how good McCarron was. 6000 yards, 67% completion percentage, 10 YPA, 58 tds, and 10 ints in his last 2 years

All of that with the worst OC saban has had at Bama

Tebow was better though.

Let's see how he does after an off season of being hyped up and told he is the greatest QB ever and gets brought back down to earth in a full game. It worked wonders for Jeremy Johnson after looking unstoppable for 2 quarters.

I think he ll be fine...Look how he's handling himself already plus he and jalen will continue to bring out best in each other. The Jeremy Johnson comparison is kind of laughable.

They've won 5 NCs in 8 years... What else is there to be afraid of?

So you ascribe to the old saying,"they can kill ya....but they can't eat ya", right?

Yeah, I agree. Lets wait until this Tua kid is down a couple of scores, in a high pressure situation with little time !

Oh shite !

Yeah. Seriously, what can Bama do/win/accomplish that they haven't since 2007?

The fact he was in the game indicates it was in a blow out against a Mercer or Vanderbilt and the like so the competiton was probably pretty conducive to look studly in reserve. Crown him cuz. Aint nothing to me.

Well, he’s no Bentley.

Time will tell. The genius move by Saban was that he caught GA with their pants down as far as pass defense goes in the 2nd half. You could tell that they weren't prepared for it. That will change by next year. Every DC in the SEC will be watching the 2nd half of that game repeatedly over the spring and summer. They will be better prepared in the fall. That said, the kid is very talented and deserves all of the credit he is getting. That final pass was NFL quality for sure.

Actually Kirby said they were prepared for it and expected the freshmen qb to play. Go back and look at the Oklahoma game. They were torched in the secondary there also. Not taking anything away from GA defense cause they are damn good but if they had one weakness it was the pass D.

Now that he has a legit QB maybe this is the year the wheels come off and Bama has a down year.

One can dream right?

The question is can Tua play defense and kick FG's. Bama has 10 players off the defense that are done. We're talking playing minutes and not trash time.
