Nick Saban has finally got a game changer at QB and it's scary

Since he got to Alabama in 2007 the only other schools besides Alabama that have won a national title without a generational talent at QB were LSU in 07 and Ohio State in 14. Tebow,Winston,Cam Newton, and Watson are the elite talents. Alabama has won the other five with pedestrian QB play. Yeah Mccaron had some good years but he's not on the level of the other guys. You can also make the argument that he's only had one competent offensive play caller since he's been at Alabama.

Mccarron will eventually be in college hall of fame. Most accomplished QB in college football of past 25 years other than maybe tebow.

that dude looked like a straight up badass.

How quickly people forget how good McCarron was. 6000 yards, 67% completion percentage, 10 YPA, 58 tds, and 10 ints in his last 2 years
All of that with the worst OC saban has had at Bama

What AJ accomplished is tough for any QB at Bama to live up to. He shouldn't ever be taken for granted

Time will tell. The genius move by Saban was that he caught GA with their pants down as far as pass defense goes in the 2nd half.
You could tell that they weren't prepared for it. That will change by next year. Every DC in the SEC will be watching the 2nd half of that game repeatedly over the spring and summer.
They will be better prepared in the fall.
That said, the kid is very talented and deserves all of the credit he is getting. That final pass was NFL quality for sure.

McCarron was pretty fricking good at QB. I'd take him in a heartbeat minus the tattoos

AJ was legit as a passer. But Tua is a legit as a passer AND can run. Scary indeed.

He actually played the majority of the second half in several games. Completed 64% of his passes for nearly 650 yards, 11 TD's and 2 picks and a 175 passer rating. Also ran for 2 TD's. And much of that was playing with our subs. Dude is a stud.

When you marry at 12 and 14 those generations roll over pretty quickly.

The fact he was in the game indicates it was in a blow out against a Mercer or Vanderbilt and the like so the competiton was probably pretty conducive to look studly in reserve. Crown him cuz. Aint nothing to me.

McCarron is so criminally underrated

He pretty much did. We didn't play offense for the first half.

Why is McCarron being forgotten?
