So Bethesda and the CIA headquarters and Delaware (home of Joe Biden) are our fam?

Sewanee should be invited back. Natural rival for Vandy and a gorgeous Mountain tailgate environment for all schools.

We need to kick some people out before diluting the product. Miss schools can go to the big 12 and USCe needs to go as well

Clearly you have never been to Raleigh. NC State is the closest thing to an SEC fanbase in the state of North Carolina.

If we are staying with border states, the "South", and the Confederate supporting territorial areas, all is square with expansion since 2012.
NC, VA, and parts of NM and AZ are on the board.

Geography in conferences is about dead. Why not bring in Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Clemson, Notre Dame & Penn State? Then refuse to play outside of conference. It would be the Varsity league and the rest of college football would be wanna be JV. We could have a legit 8 team playoff and be the only game in town. Make our own rules and tell everyone to piss off.

Doubtful there is further expansion in the SEC but if there is then I would guess Miami, Florida State, Virginia, Va tech would be ones they went after 1st.

We won't accept anybody.
That’s how this mess started. We got a south eastern program in UofSC but everything else has been west and middle. The last 5 have been meh with no regional value.

Clemson had a run,but aren't in the same historical league as the others. PsU is fringe on that list and UM is living on their grandfather's money

I would go West VA, Va Tech, NCSt and either App St/ECU to bring a smaller school up with us.

If I could just magically add 4 teams... Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia and Clemson.

So the last 4 in were geared towards westward expansion and that’s moved the league away from its cultural base. Too much Texas Arky and Oklahoma honestly. So it’s time to look east again. Assuming Notre Dame goes Big 10 that would make the ACC prime for SEC offers.
So who do we accept. I would like to see Virginia. A solid baseball and basketball school that provides natural rivals for Vandy/Vols/Kentucky. And just seems like a natural fit for a South Eastern Conference. Next will be controversial to many but it’s time to allow Tech back in. Great rival for UGA/Vols/Auburn with a decent non football program that could recruit Atlanta well enough to to put up a very solid football program. Next would likely Clemson. It already plays 2 SEC schools most years and would be an easy move to the SEC. Lastly we have 2 real candidates that would fit nicely in UNC and Maryland. UNC has a well rounded athletic department and great fans that fill the need for a North Carolina representative. Maryland brings a strong not football tradition with the recruiting and fans to turn that back around quickly.
So 5 teams, 4 slots, who gets the golden tickets that put us in 4 5 team pods with 9 conference games a year and hosting our own championship game?
You just continually display what a dumb shite you are. First off, Notre Dame would join the ACC, since they are already in the ACC in every other sport, plus they joined the ACC in football for 2020. Anybody starting a discussion topic should already know this information or have the privilege's revoked. Secondly, Virginia is not paying the massive buyout that the ACC has in place to leave a conference they do not want to leave. Thirdly, conferences expand in the modern era to expand the TV market to new viewers, and adding Clemson is completely redundant, not going to happen. UNC is a charter member of the ACC, and more importantly tied to Duke, and never joining the SEC. Maryland? Maryland just joined the Big 10. Do you even know where Maryland is on a map?
Admins need to revoke starting thread privileges from most people on this site, and this is just another example why. My God Tennessee posters are some of the most low IQ, ignorant people around.
