Yes. That glorious mullet-pony tail. I remember him making a play and climbing the drum major's ladder in Fayetteville to taunt the student section.

At least that's how I remember it. It might have been a fever dream...

The 1992 season, one nice JP highlight was Arkansas kicking a last second FG to knock off Tennessee at Neyland.

This was actually a great comeback. In the final two minutes, Arkansas runs a punt back for a TD, recovers an onside kick, and makes a long FG to beat Tennessee by 1.

1992 looks like 1972

I'm pretty sure it was in Little Rock, too. I don't remember JP Sports being anything new when we joined, but I may be wrong.

I've never liked the SEC media, but Three Guys Named Dave was an exception. I would read their website every week.

If Tannehill was king of Jefferson Pilot football, Wayne Madkin was a close second.

I’m a 92 baw and honestly Jefferson pilot games remind me of ole miss vs somebody vividly remember loving their unis, the block M at midfield and some rant about the grove. Also much more colonel reb action which was nice

Also it's fricking weird how triggered A&M fans in this thread are.

Have to remember however the 3rd Dave went by "Buzz". So there was a little distinction there.

My favorite though. "That was a de-cleater! If you ever see the bottom of the shoes go up, you know it was a de-cleater"

I spent six years in exile behind the Pine Curtain in Marshall. I recall watching some JP action. Wasn't the LSU-Auburn game where Auburn had something like 7 interceptions a JP game?

I was at that game. That happened right in front of us. SMU was a bunch of entitled pricks. They had been warned to stay off the field. Met my future wife at a Halloween party after the game.

In addition to Texas Pete and Huddle House (which we don't have anywhere I am aware of near Northwest Arkansas), they also advertised Golden Flake chips.

Another thing I had never heard of.

Nothing like turning on a local station, watching Billy Brewer eat some Golden Flake potato chips, eagerly awaiting Dave Rowe's pearls of wisdom while Dave Neal looked at him, quietly contemplating suicide.

That Tennessee team lost 3 games by a total of 9 points, marking the end of the Johnny Majors era, and the beginning of the Fulmer era.
