I am worried about our dline, that will be the weakest link. It's going to be a tough game but if we can keep it close going into the 4th, I think we have the tools to keep your defense off balance and maybe we can sneak a few scores

Bama will be able to run, but if Louisville can tackle well and limit the big runs, and if they hold Bama to under 150 rushing yards heading into the fourth, they might have a chance.

We only return 3 starters but we have some talent coming in. Remember this name... Jared Goldwire. Guy is a beast. He's a vocal leader and is excited about going up against Bama's oline. He actually chose us over Bama he's a juco transfer DT.

Louisville will score some points because of injuries etc to Bama. But in the bigger scheme of things being it's a 4 quarter game, Bama will begin to flat wear them out by middle of 3rd quarter and own time of possession while scoring long drives.

That defense Peter Sirmone wrecked won't be fixed by game one. That much I do know. Yes Louisville has a better DC and it will help by mid season but not by game 1. Miss State gave you Sirmone for a reason, he destroyed our defense too in 2016.

That's what I've been saying. Our WR corps is a big mismatch and Petrino will take full advantage of this.

Petrino will roll over and ask Saban to rub his belly

As a fan, you will come out of this game almost as demoralized as the Louisville football team.

You just lost a player that cannot be replicated at the most important position in football.

Good luck.

Well why didn’t you tell us this in the first place. You are probably right then. Louisville by 50.

Not debating that part but you act like it will happen 4 quarters, it just won't. Did you read my entire reply? I think I explained it pretty well.

We have faith in VanGorder, plus he's very familiar with Alabama.

He's no Brent Venables but most of us are satisfied with the work he's put in during camp. I'm hearing great things about the D.

He's not familiar enough with Alabama because while Saban has a common theme in the way he takes a team to the field, the sheer amount of top recruiting classes and stacked depth you can't always prepare for. Every year he has 15% of something different based on the new talent that he has to work with.

He's going to run smash mouth football behind a great line but again, 15% of what they do are wrinkles last years film won't prepare your coach for. He's the best in the business. It will be a moral victory to only lose 38-22
