I always said they should move to Sandestin since most of their meetings are there.
Yes...if there is one thing Sandestin needs is more people.

I have been told by reliable internet posters on here, the SEC HQ is moving to Austin

Why would you want to move sec headquarters to either of those locations? Each of the cities you posted are within a few short hours drive of Birmingham. There’s no reason to move anything.

Yea move it out of what is still a somewhat centralized location to Dallas which is almost as far West as you can go

If the SEC moves it’s moving to Nashville.

So this mentally deprived idiot would
move it to a more "trendy" city and one with
more professional sports teams---and of
course leads his suggested cities with
Atlanta. If memory serves correctly it was
"trendy" Atlanta where "peaceful protesters" busted into the College Football Hall of Fame
and dozens of other buildings last year. No doubt
the same if SEC HDQ's had been in that rapidly
declining but "trendy" shithole.

Some of y’all completely overblow the SEC HQ being in Birmingham.
We can move it to Atlanta, and then complain about it being too close to UGA.
We can move it to New Orleans, then complain about it being too close to LSU.
We can move it to Nashville, then complain about it being too close to Tennessee (and Vandy during baseball season).
We can move it to Dallas, then complain about it being too close to Texas and Oklahoma and too far from the East division schools.
Regardless of where we put it, people will complain about bias and care too much about where it is located.

why should anybody care about the opinion of some dork on msn.com?

Uniontown,Alabama. Geographic center of the New SEC. They don’t have a airport or a hotel or a 4* restaurant. But it does have several meth labs close to Downtown.

Why do people even give a shite where the headquarters is? Are there secret meetings that only Alabama is attending and influencing the SEC to do things their way? I don't care where a place I'll never go to is located. And if I had to choose, I'd probably put it Nashville or leave it where it's at. Unless some city outside of that wanted to pay the conference to relocate..then it may change my opinion.

Maybe put it in Columbia Missouri so they can shut the f**k up about it.

If the SEC wants to elevate their brand to even new heights, they really should think about moving their HQ to Texas. The resources and close proximity to some of the biggest media outlets makes it a no brainer.

I don't think it's big enough now to host the SEC championship game.
