They were warned. Yet few listened.

It’s an opinion piece wrote by Lugnut Dawg
The SEC isn’t moving to Dallas.

REC won’t let that happen until after Saban retires

Move the sec offices to little rock.
What could possibly go wrong?

Written by a Georgia fan. Texas and Oklahoma had no bearing on this. Stop trying to tear another conference apart Missouri.

Not gonna happen bud. This ain’t the SWC. I know you all still have PTSD from big bad Texas but a random opinion piece really doesn’t mean a thing.

Conference headquarters should be centrally located.
ACC - Greensboro, NC
XII - Irving, TX
Pac 12 - San Francisco, CA
SEC - Birmingham, AL
B1G - Rosemont, IL
If the SEC HQ move, there’s no way any city in Texas would get it. Based on a geographical standpoint, other cities I can see having it would be Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta. Even though Atlanta is not centrally located, it is the premier major southeastern city, host of the SECCG, and an ideal location I would think.

To be fair, you could probably get a good deal at the current Big 12 office in Dallas. It should be vacant in the next 12-24 months

I agree. Move it to Memphis.

Nope...
Geographical center of the "New SEC" would be Houston, Mississippi. The nearest "Major" city would be Memphis (131 miles away)...but Birmingham would only be 150 miles away...so it is still relatively close.
Other "Major City" distances:
Nashville - 254 Miles
Atlanta - 296 Miles
Dallas - 556 Miles
New Orleans - 329 Miles

But when you think of the South’s most trendy places, Atlanta, Nashville, and New Orleans come to mind.
New Orleans is a lot of things, but trendy isn’t one of them. More like murdery.

But if Murder is trending...then by definition, wouldn't it be "trendy"?
